Abstract:
A method for managing an application and an application platform, including: installing, by an application platform, a first application upon receiving a request for installing the first application, and sending a summary of the first application to a server; wherein an application list is maintained for each user in the server, and the application list is to store summaries of all of applications installed by each user; and uninstalling, by the application platform, a second application upon receiving a request for uninstalling the second application, and notifying the server to delete a summary of the second application from an application list corresponding to a user sending the request for uninstalling the second application; wherein the first application and the second application are a same application or different applications.
Abstract:
A web site usage pattern insight platform may be provided. User behaviors associated with web page requests, including search queries, may be captured and analyzed to provide usage pattern insights. The pattern insights may be aggregated across a plurality of users and may be used to provide recommendations for improving a system that hosts the web pages.
Abstract:
A costing process that takes advantage of real-time information about plant floor activities and provides a more accurate and timely financial feedback about the process efficiencies in response to new changes in the process operation. The costing process includes identifying stations that consume resources, consume activities and supply activities. The costing process also identifies a plurality of resources that are provided to one or more of the stations. The costing process also includes identifying resources from the plurality of resources that are used as needed and resources that are supplied in advance of being used. The costing process allocates costs for each resource to each station that the resource supplies, including calculating a cost rate, calculating a cost of used capacity and calculating a cost of unused capacity. The costing process then determines the cost that each station and product uses based on the allocations.
Abstract:
A system, method, and apparatus are provided for maintenance opportunity planning in a production line having a plurality of machines and buffers between machines on the production line, with the buffers processing production units between at least two of the machines. The system, method, and apparatus advantageously indicates maximum allowed downtime for a machine, through monitoring the status of the buffers to determine whether the flow of units through the buffers is favorable, monitoring the status of the plurality of machines, and determining which of the plurality of machines may be shut down for a particular period of time while substantially maintaining the favorable flow of units through the buffers. In this way, the inventive system and method saves time and resources by reducing production line downtime and unscheduled overtime.
Abstract:
GB virus C (GBV-C or hepatitis G virus) is a flavivirus that frequently leads to chronic viremia in humans. The invention provides compositions and methods involving a-GBV-C NS5A peptide or polypeptide for inhibiting and treating HIV infections.
Abstract:
The invention described herein provides human antibodies produced in non-human animals that specifically bind to Streptococcus pneumoniae capsular polysaccharide (PPS-3). The invention further provides methods for making the antibodies in a non-human animal and for expressing the antibodies in cells including hybridomas and recombinant host cell systems. Kits and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the antibodies are also provided in addition to methods of treating, inhibitng or preventing S. pneumoniae infection or conditions or disorders caused by such infection by administering to a patient the pharmaceutical compositions described herein.
Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention provides a lock-and-key system for an electrical power plant. The system includes a plurality of locks and a smart key. A respective lock is installed with a standardized lock core, and the lock is associated with a lock identifier (ID). The smart key includes a key head that matches the standardized lock core; a lock-ID detector configured to detect the lock ID; a rotation stopper which, when enabled, is configured to prevent rotation of the key head while the key head is inserted into the standardized lock core; and a control module configured to disable the rotation stopper based on the detected lock ID, thereby facilitating the smart key to unlock the lock by rotating the key head.
Abstract:
The present invention is a process for intercepting a .NET™ method at runtime in order to enable modifying the method in order to capture data about the method, trace the method, modify the method's behavior, enforce constraints, modify the method's parameters and/or return, throw (halt method execution and let the user know that an error has occurred) user-defined exceptions, and in any other manner to affect the runtime behavior of the application without having to modify and re-deploy the application.
