摘要: The present invention is directed to systems and methods of personalizing a self-service option for customers. Customers are identified at call inception and the self-service channel is personalized to tailor the caller experience based upon information specific to each customer. The systems and methods of telephone channel personalization is company/provider driven, which allows the provider to control and personalize the caller experience based on criteria set by the provider. The telephone channel personalization systems and methods determine what choices to present to the caller (i.e., in a speech self-service application—what to say and how to say it). A personalized self-service channel reduces call time and enhances the caller experience and therefore is an attractive option for businesses utilizing a call-center model. The personalized self-service application caters to the needs of a particular customer and appears to the customer that the provider knows why they are calling.

摘要: The system integrating video game applications played on networked electronic devices, using Internet accessible servers. The preferred embodiment integrates advertising and brand marketing within game play, with instantaneous, real-time awarding of skilled and non-skilled based prizes, product discounts and free products and services. Fulfillment of the awarded prizes can be processed at retail and online stores that connect to these same Internet accessible servers.

摘要: A system, method, and apparatus are provided that allow episodic delivery of entertainment content to a user. More specifically, an application module is created with episodic content technology, which can be purchased as a CD-ROM or downloaded from a remote server. The application module contains a current episode of the game and a technology shell to allow future episodes to be downloaded and executed. The entertainment content delivery system is implemented through a centralized server that provides new episodes of the content available for downloading at regularly scheduled intervals to the users' computers. The current instantiation of the application module segregates technology components from content components of the application module to allow independent modification of either. Technological advancements are incorporated as they occur into the new episodes and are executed by the application module. An Internet-enabled game using the entertainment content delivery system communicates with users through various mechanisms, including e-mail, voice mail, fax machines, web sites, and the like.

摘要: A device reducing the deleterious torque in a shock absorbing, rotary drive coupling unit used with a rotary mine drilling machine comprising: a drive plate connectable to a drive shaft of the rotary drilling machine, a driven plate connectable to a driven shaft which has a drill bit, a center portion for coupling the drive plate to the driven plate wherein the center portion includes a deformable shock, vibration and torque-absorbing member, and torque-relief means comprised of a first engagement member(s) connectable to the drive plate and a second engagement member(s) connectable to the driven plate. When the drill bit snags or jams during the operation of the rotary drilling machine, the torque-absorbing member deforms and absorbs some of the torque generated therefrom. When the torque generated from a snag or jam reaches a predetermined level, the engagement members of the drive plate physically contact the engagement member(s) of the driven plate causing the drive plate to directly drive the driven plate thus preventing any additional torque from being applied to the torque-absorbing member. An optional tensile-force relief member is provided which is mounted to the driven plate and is positioned above the drive plate. The drive plate physically contacts the tensile-force relief member in response to a predetermined amount of lifting force applied to the drive plate thereby limiting the distance the torque-absorbing member stretches when the torque control device is lifted from a blast hole.

摘要: A shock absorbing assembly for a drilling machine utilizing a down hole hammer having a driver member for receiving input forces, a driven member for transmitting forces from the driver member to an attached drill string, and a resilient member which is placed under tension and elongated when downward forces are applied. The resilient member under tension receives and dissipates shocks and vibrations.

摘要: An inter-panel process flow control method and system for enabling an uninhibited change of scope from the active panel to another panel visible on a display screen. The process relies on object-oriented programming constructs, particularly the inheritance property, and the control methods associated with the panel class. A hierarchical internal program logic is implemented where each child panel inherits the control method of its parent panel. An Action Router control method determines if a change of scope request can be handled locally by the currently active panel. The child panels of the currently active panel are queried in a controlled sequence using this inherited control method until a child panel is found that can handle the change of scope request.
