A system, method, and computer program product are provided for controlling stereo glasses shutters. In use, a right eye shutter of stereo glasses is controlled to switch between a closed orientation and an open orientation. Further, a left eye shutter of the stereo glasses is controlled to switch between the closed orientation and the open orientation. To this end, the right eye shutter and the left eye shutter of the stereo glasses may be controlled such that the right eye shutter and the left eye shutter simultaneously remain in the closed orientation for a predetermined amount of time.

A system, method, and computer program product are provided for calculating statistics associated with a surface to be rendered utilizing a graphics processor. In use, w-values are identified using a graphics processor. Additionally, the graphics processor is utilized for calculating statistics associated with at least one surface to be rendered using the w-values. Furthermore, the statistics are stored.
Abstract:
An electrolytic filtration method and apparatus for the concentration and collection of suspended particulates from aqueous solutions is disclosed. The electrolytic cell contains at least an anode and a cathode, and in one embodiment contains a plurality of anodes and cathodes. The electrolytic cell also contains a filter, and in one embodiment the filter is a moving belt filter. While not bound by theory, the electrolytic filtration method and apparatus is based on the electrophoretic movement of algae particles suspended in an aqueous solution away from the filter under the influence of an electric field. In one embodiment the electric field is a pulsed waveform with unidirectional voltage or current pulses. In another embodiment, the electric field is a pulsed waveform with bidirectional voltage or current pulses.

The invention relates to systems and methods for rapidly and isothermally expanding and compressing gas in energy storage and recovery systems that use open-air hydraulic-pneumatic cylinder assemblies, such as an accumulator and an intensifier in communication with a high-pressure gas storage reservoir on a gas-side of the circuits and a combination fluid motor/pump, coupled to a combination electric generator/motor on the fluid side of the circuits. The systems use heat transfer subsystems in communication with at least one of the cylinder assemblies or reservoir to thermally condition the gas being expanded or compressed.
Abstract:
A process for the treatment of phosphoric acid plant pond water where an increased recovery of phosphorus values from the input pond water is achieved through the dilution of the initial pond water with clarified water from the product generation stage and/or the final stage clarified water. The recycle of the product generation stage and/or final stage waters to dilute the feed pond water mitigates or eliminates the problems of silica gel formation and precipitation that occur when undiluted pond waters are processed. In addition, the dilution reduces phosphate losses in the first liming or neutralization stage rejected solids thereby increasing the yield of Di-Calcium Phosphate or ammonium magnesium phosphate or potassium magnesium phosphates.

Systems and methods are provided for editing and displaying a structured argument. An argument model comprises a plurality of parameters associated with a structured argument. A user interface graphically displays the plurality of parameters at a user accessible display and receives input from a user defining the value of a selected parameter. A computational engine alters the selected parameter to the defined value and updates the plurality of parameters according to the defined value of the selected parameter. The altered parameters are provided to the user interface, such that the display is updated in real time to reflect the user input.

A large open database of information has entries for commonly understood data, such as people, places and objects, which are referred to as topics. The database has a type system and contains attributes and relationships between topics. The invention also comprises a powerful query language and an open API to access the data and a website where contributors can update the data or add new topics and relationships. The elements of the invention comprise a scalable graph database, a dynamic user contributed schema representation, a tree-based object/property query language, a series of new Web service APIs, and set of AJAX dynamic HTML technologies.

An apparatus and a method for use within a graphical user interface visually associate a graphical representation of a file and a graphical representation of an application, and select an action from a menu appearing in proximity to the association. In the invention, selecting a file icon or file listing with a pointing device and drags it to an application icon or taskbar button. As the file icon is dragged over the application icon, a menu appears listing actions that can be taken on the file by the selected application. The user can select an action listed in the menu by dragging the file icon over the action. Releasing the button over the selected action causes the application to take that action on the file.
