    摘要: A method and device delivers a medicament to a selected tissue for treatment of the tissue, plaque and biofilm included. In the device, a first reservoir member is used to connect to a fluid source. Further, a second reservoir member engages the first reservoir member to define a chamber for receiving the medicament. Structurally, the second reservoir member includes an outlet. Attached to the outlet is a tube that extends to a nozzle. When connected, the first reservoir member, second reservoir member, and tube define a passageway from the fluid source to the nozzle. During use, a flow rate for a fluid is established through the passageway to deliver the medicament from the passageway through the nozzle to the selected tissue.

    摘要: A low wattage metal halide discharge lamp includes an evacuated envelope wherein is disposed a heat loss reducing member having an arc tube therein and means for interrupting the circuit for the current flow which sustains the electrolytic sodium loss process. In one embodiment, the circuit interruption means includes supporting the arc tube and dome sleeve by a supporting rod that is affixed by a metal strap to the glass stem within the lamp. The primary circuit interrupting effect occurring upon the heat loss reducing member being supported about the arc tube in an electrically insulated manner so as to create a high path of resistance back to the power supply. A substantial reduction of sodium loss along with improved color constancy and voltage stability resulted from interruption of the electrolysis circuit.

    摘要: A single-ended lamp having a double-ended light-source capsule mounted axially within an outer envelope on thermally conductive support members such that the amount of heat conducted to the base region of the lamp through each support member is approximately equal. In a preferred embodiment, a high-pressure sodium PAR lamp having a temperature-sensitive component in the lamp base employs two support wires for the arc tube; the support wire coupled with the arc tube end closer to the lamp base has a loop formed therein so that the lengths of both support wires are approximately equal and the thermal conductivity of both support wires are also approximately equal in the operating environment of the lamp; whereby the temperature-sensitive component operates within acceptable temperature limits. In alternate embodiments, each support member may employ one or more loops or other configurations in order to minimize the amount of heat transferred to the lamp base through conduction in the support members. The invention has particular application in lamps having temperature-sensitive components or materials in the base region of the lamp, or where the temperature of the lamp socket or its surroundings is particularly constrained.
