Abstract:
Embodiments herein relate to a computer which operates in a normal power mode, a full low power mode and a modified low power mode. A power supply unit (PSU) includes main power rails and a standby power rail. An intelligent decision is made as to when to turn on and off the main power rails based on the needs of connected devices such as USB Type-C devices. Power Delivery controllers communicate with the USB devices to determine their power consumption needs, and the total power consumption is aggregated at an embedded controller. If the total exceeds an available power budget, the PSU is controlled to allow for a modified low power mode in which full power is maintained at the main power rails while non-essential internal components are turned off.
Abstract:
A proportional solenoid-controlled fluid valve assembly having a fluid pressure balancing diaphragm. The valve assembly also includes a solenoid coil assembly having a cylindrical conduit and a magnetic orifice piece positioned within the conduit. A plunger is positioned within the conduit and is movable within the conduit between a de-actuated position and an actuated position. A pressure balancing diaphragm is provided having a top side, a bottom side, an outer annular flange portion, a U-shaped portion, and an inner annular flange terminating at a diaphragm opening, with the diaphragm being positioned within valve base with the outer annular flange portion abutting the ledge of the valve base and the U-shaped portion abutting the valve seat. A retainer is also provided having a top cylindrical upstanding portion extending through the diaphragm opening and an aperture formed in the plunger. A magnetic frame is also included for securing the valve assembly in an assembled configuration, wherein a magnetic path is formed by magnetic orifice piece, plunger and the magnetic frame and the solenoid coil is configured to be actuated such that the plunger moves towards the magnetic orifice piece, thus lifting the diaphragm and retainer and allowing pressurized media to pass from the inlet port to the outlet port.
Abstract:
A valve assembly includes a valve base having a tubular section with a longitudinal bore formed therein, a fluid inlet port and a common port with an internal passageway therebetween. A solenoid coil is adapted to generate a magnetic flux and includes a longitudinal axis and a bore coaxial therewith. The valve assembly further includes an orifice piece positioned within the longitudinal bore of the valve base. The orifice piece includes a central passageway with a first end and a second end. A plunger is movable within the longitudinal bore between a first de-actuated position and a second actuated position.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of a system and methods for using design features to search for page layout designs are described. The document and image structures of a page layout design may be analyzed to determine design features which define the style of the page layout design. Dependent on the design features, style scores may be calculated for the page layout design. Page layout designs may be stored in a database in association with corresponding style scores. A user may indicate a desired page layout style by indicating example page layout designs which exhibit the desired style. Style scores for the example page layout designs may be compared to the style scores for page layout designs stored in the database. Dependent on the comparison, page layout designs stored in the database may be selected and displayed to the user.
Abstract:
One example discloses a network system for managing a print job. The network system can comprise a printing system. The printing system can comprise a memory for storing computer executable instructions and a processing unit for accessing the memory and executing the computer executable instructions. The computer executable instructions can comprise a printer server to generate a print job for a printer based on a received print email message. The print job can be generated based on an email decoration in the print email message. The email decoration can include a request specifying printing parameters for the print job.
Abstract:
The present invention comprises a specimen preserver. A bubble reservoir is used to hold a preserving liquid such as artificial cerebrospinal liquid (aCSF). Oxygen is introduced into the aCSF by a gas diffuser which is attached to the bubble reservoir. The tissue samples are contained in one or more chambers in a holding platform. The platform is suspended well above the bottom of the bubble reservoir. The lower portion of each of the chambers is open toward the bottom of the bubble reservoir, but is covered by a fine mesh. The gas introduced into the aCSF circulates within the bubble reservoir. However, the tissue samples are not directly exposed to the gas bubbles because the fine mesh excludes the bubbles from the chambers in which the tissue samples are housed.
Abstract:
Various embodiments, including systems and methods, are described for providing digital coupons to third party network sites. In one representative embodiment, a computing device is provided, where a plurality of digital coupons are maintained in a memory associated with the computing device. Each digital coupon is directed to the purchase of at least one item through an electronic commerce system. A coupon service is implemented in the computing device that is configured to identify at least one of the digital coupons to present on a third party network site in response to a request for at least one of the digital coupons received from the third party network site based at least in part upon information contained in the request. The identified digital coupons are then sent to the third party network site.
Abstract:
Various systems, methods, and other embodiments are described relating to the selection of digital coupons for display in network pages. In one embodiment, a plurality of coupon campaigns are maintained in a computing device for a plurality of entities in association with an operation of an electronic commerce system employed to sell a plurality of items over a network. Each of the coupon campaigns comprises at least one digital coupon to be applied to a purchase of at least one of the items. A network page is generated in the electronic commerce system to be rendered on a client. The network page is generated in association with the operation of the electronic commerce system. A subset of the digital coupons is determined to be included in the network page to present to a user.
Abstract:
A portable thread environment comprising: an application programming interface configured to support multiple application program tasks with each task comprised of one or more threads; host adaptation logic for communicatively interfacing the tasks and threads with a host processing environment; and a scheduler configured to determine an execution order of the one or more threads based on one or more execution variables.
Abstract:
Hybrid fiber/coax networks employ the existing cable plant used for cable TV and transmit data signals in a frequency bandwidth above that which is used for cable TV. As this cable plant was deployed in a tree and branch topology, data transmissions may be susceptible to noise, variable transmission loss and frequency dispersion, particularly in the upstream direction. Further, due to the tree and branch topology, homes at the far end of the network experience much greater loss than do the homes that are near to the headend/ONU. The present system, which uses point-to-point data links between intelligent network elements located in the feeder/distribution network to provide reliable, secure, bi-directional broadband access. Digital signals, or messages, are terminated at the intelligent network elements, switched and regenerated for transmission across additional upstream or downstream data links as needed to connect a home to a headend or router. Messages indicative of an end user routing ID (RID) are identified and the information extracted for user with successive messages. In this manner, the data links are made over relatively short runs of coax cable, which can provide greater bandwidth than the typical end-to-end feeder/distribution connection between a home and the headend or optical network unit.
