Abstract:
A fabric for use in filters separating water from a water/diesel emulsion, and a method of using such a fabric, where the fabric has a rectangular mesh, the sides of which are formed by respective threads. In comparison with prior art fabrics for water/diesel filters, the fabric of the invention offers the advantage of having a higher separation efficiency, thus allowing separation of diesel with a lower residual water content downstream of the filter.
Abstract:
A composite ballistics protective textile structure comprises at least a textile element and one or more textile or thermoplastic matrix elements. The first textile element comprises unidirectional yarn fibers or flat strips. The second textile element comprises flat strip elements consisting of unidirectional yarns or thermoplastic films. Additional elements comprise thermoplastic matrix arrangements, based on rubber, elastomeric polymers or being laminated with thermoplastic films, for stabilizing the structure and reducing bullet trauma impacts.
Abstract:
A method for laminating or coupling a first and second precision fabric layers each being formed by weaving a plurality of synthetic monofilaments to achieve a two-layer textile structure, for application to loudspeakers and microphones of electronic devices in general providing at least an audio function, either a sound emitting (voice or music) or receiving function, both for protecting said electronic device from water and solid particle intrusion and for preserving the designed sound emitting and receiving characteristics, the method comprising coupling the first and second layers by a glueing material sprayed on the synthetic monofilaments of at least one of the first and second precision fabric layers.
Abstract:
A novel multiple orientation construction for the ballistic protection, the process for making it and the main ballistic results obtained thereby. Said construction comprises at least a textile element and one or more thermoplastic or thermosetting based elements. The first textile element (1) comprises textile fibers. The second element (2) may comprise thermoplastic, thermosetting, rubber or polymeric elastomer based matrix arrangements or thermoplastic films for adjusting the textile construction characteristics according to the intended applications and for assisting in reducing bullet impact damages. The above elements jointly cooperate in absorbing and spreading a bullet impact stress.
Abstract:
A composite filtering medium comprising a precision fabric, of the type with weft and warp, on the surface of which nanofibres are deposited by electrospinning. A method for producing the composite filtering medium, comprising a step of electrospinning for formation of nanofibres and a subsequent step of deposition of said nanofibres on a base fabric; the method comprises injection of the material for formation of the nanofibres, dissolved in a solvent or mixture of solvents, through a nozzle in order to spread it on an electrode; the method comprising application of a difference of potential between the nozzle and an electrode; the nanofibres being formed as a result of evaporation of the solvent or mixture of solvents, due to the electrical field, and stretching of the polymer deposited on the electrode, by means of the nozzle; the nanofibres thus formed being subsequently stretched and deposited on said base fabric.
Abstract:
A ballistic protective material, characterized in that it comprises a laminate made of aramid fabric having one or more layers of thermoplastic or thermosetting matrix. The resulting composite can be produced by using a film, by applying powders or resins; the material is very flexible, in the form of a roll having the desired width and length.
Abstract:
A fabric formed by an interweaving of monofilaments (2) of synthetic material and which has two opposite metalized faces, in which at least one of said faces has at least one color (5) which determines the level of transparency. Compared to the known fabrics for making transparent panels for the building sector, the fabric according to the invention offers the advantage of allowing control of the level of transparency to light, depending on the color applied to the metalized surface of the fabric.
Abstract:
An acoustically transparent protector for an audio device provided with a sound generating transducer having a sound port covered by said protector for use with a human ear for the reproduction of sound which allows sound to pass through with little attenuation or distortion but does not allow foreign material such as ear wax, dust, debris, or water to pass into the sound port. The protector of the invention is provided with a sound radiating element having at least a curve portion and a suspension part. The protector of the invention realizes a “perfect” barrier that attenuates the sound entering the audio device as little as possible and does not suffer from significant sound distortions.
Abstract:
A laminated double-layer textile product comprises a square mesh ferromagnetic alloy metal filament or thread technical fabric layer coupled to a square mesh synthetic monofilament technical fabric layer by laminating to provide a diffused joining of said two layers, said laminating comprising a hot-melt laminating.
