Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a panel-shaped area heating element (1) comprising the steps: a) providing at least one first paper/cardboard layer (2); b) applying a gypsum slurry layer (3) on a free side of the first paper/cardboard layer (2); c) molding the gypsum slurry layer (3) to a gypsum slurry layer (3) with a uniform layer thickness (t); d) applying at least one second paper/cardboard layer (5) on a free surface of the gypsum slurry layer (4); e) curing the gypsum slurry layer (3) to a gypsum layer (30); f) cutting into individual panels and drying the individual panels; g) wherein a paper/cardboard structure (12) which is electroconductive at least after curing the gypsum slurry layer (3) is used for forming the at least one first and/or second paper/cardboard layer (2; 5). Abstract: A surfactant composition is disclosed comprising a first alkyl sulfate surfactant, optionally a second alkyl sulfate surfactant, and optionally an alkyl ether sulfate. The first and second alkyl sulfate surfactants have Formula (1): R1—OSO3−+M1 (1) and the alkyl ether sulfate has Formula (2): R2—(OCH2CH2)yOSO3−+M2 (2) in which R1 and R2 are independently selected linear or branched alkyl or a combination thereof having from 6 to 14 carbon atoms, y has an average value from 0.1 to 5, and M1 and M2 are cations independently selected from sodium, calcium, ammonium, or a combination of two or all of these. Use of the composition as a foaming agent for gypsum slurries, and of the gypsum slurries for formation of gypsum boards, are disclosed.

Abstract: A lightweight construction element is disclosed comprising a first and a second flange member 10, 20 each having front face 13, 23 facing each other and back face 14, 24 non-facing each other. The first flange member and the second flange member 10, 20 are aligned alongside each other at a distance X. Further, the lightweight construction element comprises a plurality of web members 50, whereby, the length of the plate portion 51 of web members 50 defines the spacing between the first flange member 10 and the second flange member 20. The plurality of web members 50 are physically coupled to the first and second flange members 10, 20 by attaching to either the front surface 13, 23, or the back surface 14, 24 of each flange member 10, 20, and are bent at an angle ranging between 90-110 degrees to the plate portion 51 along the the attachment line 60. The plurality of web members 50 eliminate the need of a full length web and which results in reduction of metal usage and thus in turn reduced CO2 emission.

Abstract: A panel has a gypsum matrix, in which the following additives are embedded: glass fibre in an amount greater than 1 wt % relative to the gypsum and a synthetic polymeric binder in an amount greater than 2.5 wt % relative to the gypsum. The glass fibre and synthetic polymeric binder are present in a weight ratio of at least 2 parts binder to one part fibre. The amount of sand present in the gypsum matrix lies in the range 0-0.5 wt % relative to the gypsum. The amount of cellulosic fibre present in the gypsum matrix lies in the range 0-2 wt % relative to the gypsum.

Abstract: A novel design of rails for a suspended ceiling, the rails including expansion absorbers. The absorbers are produced so that the rails can absorb an expansion while maintaining the integrity of the ceiling, so that the ceiling panels do not fall in the event of a fire. The rails maintain a significant load-bearing capacity despite the presence of one or more expansion absorbers over the length thereof.
