Abstract:
The present invention provides a polymer complex of a sugar response type having boronic acid groups in the polymer. Medicines may be contained or linked, preferably, the medicines have hydroxy groups. The polymer having boronic acid groups and the medicine having hydroxy groups may be linked by boronic acid ester bonds. The complex may also comprises polymers having boronic acid groups and polymers having hydroxy groups, and these polymers may be cross-linked.
Abstract:
A card reader control system includes a measuring device which measures a time interval of a clock signal which is developed from a card reader when a card is manually driven to travel in the card reader. The card reader control system stores the maximum time interval and the minimum time interval of the clock signal measured by the measuring device. When either one or both of the maximum time interval and the minimum time interval is not included in a preferred range, an alarm buzzer is enabled to indicate that the card speed is not suited for the reading operation.

Abstract:
A novel A1-B-A2 polymer having a number average molecular weight of 10000 to 100000 is provided that has excellent bioabsorbability so as to disappear in a predetermined period of time even when embedded in a large amount in the body, has good kinetic properties, and is useful for preparing tissue anti-adhesion films. This polymer is composed of segments A1 and A2 each having at least either of modified and unmodified amino acid groups, and segment B composed of PEG having a number average molecular weight of 8000 to 50000. The polymer contains both the modified and unmodified amino acid groups, the content of the modified amino acids is 20 to 85 mol % of all the amino acids in the polymer, and segment A1 is bonded to one end of segment B and segment A2 is bonded to the other end of segment B.
Abstract:
An improved modulator is capable of facilitating recording and reproducing on and from an audio cassette tape digital signals such as programs and numerical data coming from digital signal processing apparatus including an electronic cash register as well as providing safety for the audio cassette tape when in operation. The modulator includes a control circuit for detecting and counting carrier signals and outputting desired information in response to a data transfer instruction and a state detector governed by the control circuit wherein the carrier signals are sent out via data transfer lines when the detector is in a specific state. The control circuit may be implemented with a microprocessor.
Abstract:
An electronic apparatus comprises a central processor unit (CPU) for controlling the operation of the electronic apparatus, and a dynamic random access memory (RAM). The CPU develops a refresh control signal for refreshing the memory data stored in the dynamic RAM. An additional refresh control circuit is provided outside of the CPU for developing another refresh control signal. The additional refresh control circuit is connected to receive the electric power from a backup battery included in the electronic apparatus. When the service interruption occurs, the additional refresh control circuit is enabled to maintain the memory data stored in the dynamic RAM.
