    摘要: A stem ejectable component assembly for electronic devices does not use a pin or needle to eject the tray holder. The assembly includes a receiving housing coupled to a SIM/MMC tray, a front plate, and a stem. The front plate incorporates slider pins that slide out to engage with recesses in the support frame of the electronic device to lock the assembly. The slider pins have inner ends that abut the stem and hold the stem in a pushed-in position. The slider pins also incorporate profiled protrusions that engage with ball pins fixed to the receiving housing. When the front plate is pushed inward, the profiled protrusions cause the slider pins to move outwards and release the stem to project out of the front plate. Pulling the stem causes the slider pins to slide in and disengage from the recesses in the support frame to enable withdrawal of the assembly.

The first cover member may be fixed to the first circuit board so as to cover the entire light emitting element; and the second cover member may be fixed to the second circuit board so as to cover the entire light receiving element.

    摘要: In a method of processing recording media on which magnetic ink characters are printed, the media is transported at a first speed in an upright position along a transportation path from a supply unit to a discharge unit. The magnetic characters are read and output signals representative of the reading generated. The output signals are analyzed, including comparing the output signals with previously stored signal patterns of magnetic ink characters to determine if the magnetic characters can be recognized or not. The transporting of the recording media is paused, or slowed to a second speed substantially lower than the first speed, for a period of time during the analyzing of the output signals. A processing apparatus includes components for carrying out the operations of such method.

The card body further comprises a positioning feature adapted to univocally identify said contact fields according to their location and orientation on the card body. The positioning feature is a hole or a notch formed on the card body in an area including the chip module such as a contact field which has no electrical functionality as contact field C6 according to ISO 7816-2. The invention is particularly adapted to card bodies including a plug-in removable portion of smaller size comprising said chip module and said positioning feature such as smaller size “mini-plug” SIMs for mobile phones.

    摘要: In a method of processing recording media containing magnetic ink characters, the media is transported at a first speed along a transportation path to which a magnetic head is disposed. Character recognition is performed by analyzing signals outputted from the magnetic head in comparison with stored signal patterns. Until it is decided whether the characters are correct or can be recognized, transportation of the media is stopped or temporarily slowed to a significantly lower second speed downstream of the magnetic head. A processing apparatus includes appropriate components and functionality for carrying out such a method. In some embodiments, the analysis and comparison includes determining whether the check is inverted or upside down.

    摘要: An improved card scanner for imaging and decoding data contained in indicia such as bar codes on a side surface of an inserted card. The device features a double scanning method using an electronic imaging element and processor which turns off unnecessary power when not required and begins processing data as soon as one captured image is determined complete. This is accomplished through the use of a processor and software to determine if a complete image of the bar code on the inserted card has been captured and allowing immediate processing for data and removal of the card. Should the image of the bar code be incomplete, a second scan is conducted of the bar code as it is removed and a complete image formed from the second or combination of the two individual scans. The device can also be used to compare photographs scanned from a card with the digital photograph encoded in a two dimensional bar code and to display both photos for comparison.

    摘要: An ultrasonic wave sensor is mounted on a card reader. A detection range of the ultrasonic wave sensor covers a front surface of an inlet. The ultrasonic wave sensor detects presence or absence of a foreign body at the time of standby until a card is inserted into a card slot. When a processing of the card is terminated and the card is discharged, the ultrasonic wave sensor detects presence or absence of the card or presence or absence of a foreign body. In the case where the ultrasonic wave sensor cannot detect the card although the card has been discharged, an abnormality signal can be output.

    摘要: A card processor which maintains security against unauthorized reading of the magnetic data recorded in the card and improves operability by suppressing offensive feeling to the customers includes a card carriage control unit which rotates carrier rollers in a direction in which a card is taken in by the interior of the main body until the card is held by the pair of carrier rollers closest to the insertion port. Therefore, the customer who inserts the card does not receive offensive feeling such as supporting something with the card that occurs when the leading end of the card comes in contact with the carrier rollers that are halting. As the card is held by the carrier rollers, further, the card carriage control unit intermittently carries the card so as to be taken in by the main body. Even in case an unauthorized card reader is attached to the front surface of the insertion port, therefore, the card data are not read out without authorization.
