    摘要: A hearth particle bed system is made up of channel members which form an inclined surface upon which a layer of hearth particles downwardly flow. An air inlet is provided underneath the channel member and apertures are provided in the channel members for redistributing the air flow through the hearth particles. A hearth particle incinerating furnace contains the above-described hearth particle bed system and further contains a combustion chamber and a mechanism for removing used hearth particles and combustion residues. This hearth particle incinerating furnace enables combustion air to be uniformly distributed in the hearth particle bed and can operate in a stable fashion for a long period of time without problems associated with pluggage of the air inlets.

    摘要: An intermediate shaft comprising a shaft body including an axle portion and a portion having an approximately elliptic shape of cross section, both major and minor axes of the elliptical cross-section portion being longer than a diameter of the axle portion, and a ring-shaped member with a cross-sectional shape analogous to the elliptic cross-section portion. A method for assembling this shaft provides for a vibration damping member intervened between the housing member and elliptic cross-section portion for damping vibrations transmitted from the steering gear box. This method also ensures that the housing and the vibration damping members and the elliptic cross-section portion are fitted into an outer tubular envelope, and the ring-shaped member normally has a gap against the outer tubular envelope and transmits rotational torque from the outer tubular envelope to the elliptic cross-section portion when the ring-shaped member is contacted with the outer tubular envelope. A universal joint yoke portion is linked to the outer tubular envelope so as to face opposing ends of the housing and vibration damping members and is contactable against the ends of the housing and vibration damping members. A stopper member is extended from the end edge of the outer tubular envelope so as to prevent the ring-shaped member from coming out of the elliptic cross-section portion.

    摘要: A method of removing sulfur dioxide from combustion exhaust gas containing sulfur dioxide by contacting the exhaust gas with an aqueous solution containing at least one organic acid salt expressed by the formulaRCOOM(wherein R represents H, CH.sub.3, C.sub.2 H.sub.5 or C.sub.3 H.sub.7, and M represents an alkali metal or NH.sub.4) to efficiently dissolve sulfur dioxide contained in the gas in the form of a sulfite in the aqueous solution by reacting the sulfur dioxide with the salt. The resultant solution which dissolves the sulfite may be contacted with a calcium compound for producing calcium sulfite by reaction of the sulfite with the calcium compound thereby effectively removing the sulfur dioxide in the form of calcium sulfite from the combustion exhaust gas. Alternatively, the sulfite-dissolving aqueous solution may be contacted with oxygen or air for oxidizing the sulfite contained in the solution into a sulfate, followed by contacting the sulfate, which is now dissolved in the aqueous solution, with a calcium compound. The sulfate is satisfactorily reacted with the calcium compound to produce calcium sulfate and thus sulfur dioxide may be effectively ultimately removed in the form of calcium sulfate from the combustion exhaust gas.

A reel provided inside the large animal is connected to a drive and has a line connected to it that extends out the mouth of the large animal and is attached to the smaller animal. In addition the large animal, which may be constituted as a floatable fish or the like, is provided with means for propelling it through the water so that the drive unit can propel this large animal through the water and simultaneously reel in the small animal. Thus the large animal will appear to pursue and then eat the small animal as it pulls the small animal into its openable mouth.
