摘要: An on-line roll grinding method for a work roll, which can decrease an overshoot, by which the pressing load of a rotating grinding wheel on a work roll exceeds a set grinding pressing load, is provided. This method is an on-line grinding method for a work roll, adapted to press a rotating grinding wheel (3a) having elasticity against a work roll (1) of a rolling mill to grind the work roll, wherein when the pressing load of the rotating grinding wheel (3a) reaches a set load F, which has been set beforehand, after the rotating grinding wheel (3a) contacts the work roll (1), the forward velocity of the rotating grinding wheel (3a) is reduced to decrease an overshoot by which the pressing load of the rotating grinding wheel (3a) on the work roll (1) exceeds a set grinding pressing load F0.

摘要: A DVD recorder system having a sleep state. When a predetermined period of a non-operation state has elapsed, a key controller switches the state of a power source circuit to interrupt voltage supply, thereby causing the system to shift to the sleep state. In this state, when a signal is input from the video input terminal, the key controller controls the power source circuit to turn ON, thereby causing the system to shift to the normal state. After recovery to the normal state, a DVD processor provides instructions to a DVD drive in accordance with recording conditions which are prestored in an EEPROM, and supplies an input video signal to the DVD drive so as to start recording. Also, when a medium is inserted in the DVD drive, the key controller detects an insertion signal to control the power source circuit to turn ON, thereby causing the system to return to the normal state.

摘要: In a circuit board including an analog circuit and a digital circuit, the S/N ratio reduction resulting from the interference of digital signals with analog signals is suppressed. The circuit board includes a digital signal processing section forming part of the digital circuit, digital signal external conductors connected to the digital signal processing section, and digital signal output control means for interrupting the transmission of the digital signals from the digital signal processing section to the digital signal external conductors. A decrease in the limitation for the wiring pattern and the device arrangement provides an increase in the degree of freedom for designing, thereby making it possible to miniaturize the circuit board and to reduce the manufacturing cost thereof.

摘要: A flexible magnetic disk drive to be USB interfaced with a computer, there being a maximum current limitation of 500 milliamperes to be carried by USB cables. The current consumption of the disk drive maximizes when both disk drive motor and stepper motor are in rotation and when, additionally, a pilot lamp glows to warn that the disk is being accessed. The invention takes advantage of the fact that the stepper motor is driven with a motor current that varies periodically with the stepping pulses, each period of the motor current being notionally divisible into approximately two halves such that the motor current is less in magnitude in the first half than in the second. A pilot lamp control circuit causes the pilot lamp to be energized only during the first half of each motor current period, resulting in the blinking of the pilot lamp. Thus the peak of the sum of the motor current and the lamp current during the first half of the motor current period can be made no more than the peak of the motor current alone during the second half.
