The engine device includes an engine having an exhaust manifold, and a gas purifying filter which purifies exhaust gas discharged from the engine, front and rear engine leg mounting portions provided on one side surface of the engine include front and rear filter supporting bodies which support the gas purifying filter, the gas purifying filter includes the front and rear filter supporting bodies, and the front and rear filter supporting bodies are connected to the front and rear engine leg mounting portions.

    摘要： An engine device is disclosed in which a gas purifying filter can be disposed, with high rigidity, in an engine as one constituent part of the engine and the need of countermeasures against exhaust gas for each of the devices of a vehicle is eliminated, and general versatility of the engine can be enhanced. The engine device includes a diesel engine having an exhaust manifold, and an exhaust gas purifying device which purifies exhaust gas discharged from the diesel engine. A plurality of filter supporting bodies which support the exhaust gas purifying device are provided on an upper portion of a flywheel housing in the diesel engine. The exhaust gas purifying device is connected to the exhaust manifold and connected to the flywheel housing through the plurality of filter supporting bodies.

    摘要： Benzylidenethiazolidine compounds of formula (I): ##STR1## [in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.5 are each hydrogen or alkyl; R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are each hydrogen, alkyl, formyl, alkylcarbonyl, arylcarbonyl, carboxy, alkoxycarbonyl, aryloxycarbonyl, hydroxy, alkylcarbonyloxy, formyloxy, arylcarbonyloxy, optionally substituted alkoxy or halogen; W is methylene, carbonyl or a group of formula >C.dbd.N--OV, wherein V is hydrogen, alkylcarbonyl, arylcarbonyl or optionally substituted alkyl; and n is an integer of from 1 to 3] and salts thereof have the ability to inhibit the formation of lipid peroxide in the mammalian body, and can therefore be used for the treatment of arteriosclerosis and other diseases and disorders arising from an imbalance in the lipid peroxide level. They can also be used for the preparation of the corresponding benzylthiazolidine compounds, which have a generally greater hypoglycemic activity. Processes for the preparation of these compounds of formula (I) are also provided.

    摘要： An exhaust manifold maintains the EGR ratio constant irrespective of a change in shape of the exhaust manifold and includes exhaust gas inlet sections connected to the exhaust ports of respective cylinders of the engine; a main pipe section configured so that exhaust gas entering from the exhaust gas inlet sections is collected inside the main pipe section; an EGR gas taking-out section for extracting, as EGR gas, a part of the exhaust gas; and an exhaust gas discharge section for discharging the exhaust gas. The main pipe section has formed thereon a curved section provided between the exhaust gas inlet sections and curved in a shape protruding to the side opposite the exhaust gas inlet sections. The curved section has a recess which is formed by causing a portion of the outer peripheral surface of the curved section to be recessed toward the inside of the main pipe section.

    摘要： A sheet feeding device for a printer, e.g., a stencil printer including an ink drum with a master wrapped therearound and a press drum one of which is pressed against the other during printing is disclosed. The sheet feeding device is capable of feeding a sheet at a preselected speed without regard to a print speed varying every moment due to various factors particular to an ink drum driveline, i.e., whether a set print speed is higher than a standard print speed or lower than the same. This successfully obviates the short loop of a sheet which would result in a skew or a feed failure. In addition, the device reduces noise at print speeds lower than the standard print speed and used more often than the other print speeds.
