摘要: An electronic liquid level gauge assembly includes an electronic display located in a housing connected to a tank. The display has first and second display portions for indicating liquid level condition. A first electronic sensor senses a change in magnetic field of a magnet associated with a liquid level transducer, with magnet rotation being proportional liquid level change. A processor determines a temperature-compensated liquid level condition by correlating the liquid level signal with temperature measurement of the liquid. A temperature-compensated vapor space can also be calculated based on tank information and properties of the liquid. Signals related to the temperature-compensated liquid level and vapor space are sent to the display and wirelessly transmitted to a smart phone or the like for remotely viewing the tank information. The smart phone also includes a special app for sending information, firmware updates, and display configuration data to the electronic gauge assembly.

摘要: A liquid level transducer includes a mounting head for connection to the wall of a tank and a housing extending into the tank from the mounting head. A float rod is pivotally connected to the housing and a float is connected to the float rod for pivotal movement upon a change of liquid level in the tank. A proximal end of the float rod is connected to an actuator portion and constrained for pivotal movement about two parallel axes so that the actuator portion moves in a linear direction with respect to the housing. The interior of the housing includes a sensor assembly responsive to the linear movement of the actuator portion to thereby determine the level of liquid within the tank.

摘要: A liquid level transducer (10) for mounting to a cryogenic tank includes a mounting head assembly (14) for connection to the tank (12) and an elongate sensing probe assembly (16) extending from the mounting head assembly (14) and into the tank. The mounting head assembly (14) has a lower mounting member (40) connected to the sensing probe assembly (16). The mounting head assembly also includes a tank mounting member (42) with a central bore (74) and a transverse wall (87) located within the bore. An upper connecting section (60) of the member (40) is threaded into the bore (74). A seal (147) is positioned between the transverse wall (87) and the upper connecting section (60). The upper connecting section (60) has a corrugated feature that receives and deforms the seal to interlock the components together and increase the sealing surface area therebetween.

摘要: A liquid level gauge includes a mounting head and a sensor assembly with a support tube that extends into a tank from the mounting head. A gauge rod is positioned in a support tube for selective movement out of the tank for visually determining the liquid level. A magnet is associated with the gauge rod and couples with a magnet associated with a float that slides along the support tube so that the gauge rod and float are selectively coupled together. A pair of spaced bearings are mechanically retained within the float structure with retaining rings and spaced projections located on opposite sides of each bearing. In this manner, the float slides more freely along the support tube, allowing more accurate readings while minimizing failure.

摘要: An indicator assembly for determining a liquid level condition within a tank includes a dial assembly with a base and a lens or cover connected to the base. A channel is formed in the lens and a go-no-go protrusion projects into the channel. An actuator is located between the base and the cover and is movable in response to a change in liquid level in the tank. The indicator assembly also includes a sensor module for insertion into the channel. The sensor module has a housing with a sensor for determining movement of the actuator in response to a change in liquid level. A go-no-go cavity complementary in shape with the go-no-go protrusion is formed in the housing so that the sensor module can be fully inserted into the housing with the sensor aligned with the actuator for generating signals related to the liquid level condition.

摘要: A liquid level gauge for determining the level or volume of liquid within a tank includes a mounting head adapted for connection to the tank, a gauge assembly connected to one side of the mounting head, and an elongate sensing probe assembly extending into the tank. The gauge assembly includes a rotatable gauge plate with a scale located thereon and a rotatable indicator that moves across the scale in response to a change in liquid level. The gauge plate is weighted for rotation toward a gravitational force vector for orientation with an upper surface of the liquid in the tank independent of tank tilt. The sensing probe includes a float rod with an integral coil spring hinge to facilitate installation of the gauge within the tank. A counterweight is adjustable along the float rod to fine-tune float weight or buoyancy for a particular gauge configuration and liquid type.

摘要: A liquid level transducer includes a mounting head connectable to a tank, a probe assembly extending into the tank, and a hose connecting assembly positioned on the mounting head outside of the tank. The probe assembly can include liquid withdrawal and return tubes and a sensor tube for determining the level of liquid within the tank. Bores are formed in the mounting head in alignment with the liquid withdrawal, return, and sensor tubes. First retaining features at least partially surround the withdrawal/return bores. The hose connecting assembly includes hose connectors with bases that have second retaining features that cooperate with the first retaining features so that the hose connectors can be aligned with the bores and adjusted to different angular positions about the central axes of the bores during assembly.

摘要: An apparatus for determining at least first and second properties of a fluid associated with a tank includes a mounting head adapted for connection to the tank, a housing extending from the mounting head, and an integral chamber formed in the housing. The chamber is in fluid communication between the tank and a down-line device of the vehicle or equipment with which the tank is associated. A sensor module can be installed in the chamber for measuring different parameters of the fluid. Other modules can be interchanged with the sensor module for accomplishing different operations associated with the apparatus and/or fluid.
