摘要: A method includes transmitting, by a set of drive-sense circuits of a plurality of drive-sense circuits of a test system, a set of electrode signals on a set of test container electrodes of a test container of a test container array of the test system. The test container contains a content. The method further includes generating, by the set of drive-sense circuits, a set of sensed signals. The method further includes interpreting, by a processing module of the test system, the set of sensed signals as a plurality of impedance values and generating an impedance map based on the plurality of impedance values and with respect to positioning of the set of test container electrodes. The impedance map is representative of electrical characteristics of the content.

摘要: A device, and corresponding method, for determining a presence of lead in a material composition of a pipe includes a probe, a resonant frequency measurement circuit, and a material analyzer. The probe includes an oscillator circuit and can be inserted into an interior cavity of the pipe and emit electromagnetic radiation. The frequency measurement circuit operatively communicates with the oscillator circuit and outputs resonant electromagnetic frequency measurement data indicating a resonant electromagnetic frequency of the oscillator circuit. The material analyzer receives the resonant electromagnetic frequency measurement data, and an additional measurement selected from the group consisting of (i) a measurement of power dissipation of the oscillator circuit and (ii) an interior diameter of the pipe, and outputs a positive or negative indication of whether lead is present in the material composition based on the resonant electromagnetic frequency measurement data and the additional measurement.

摘要: An apparatus and method for detecting one or more target molecules includes a hydrophobic substrate, and a sensor. The sensor includes two or more electrodes disposed on the hydrophobic substrate and separated from one another by a gap, a plurality of nanostructures formed on or within an upper surface of each electrode, a plurality of binding molecules attached to the plurality of nanostructures, wherein the plurality of binding molecules are configured to bind with the one or more target molecules, and wherein the upper surface of each electrode and the plurality of nanostructures are hydrophilic, and may further detect two or more analytes with two or more sensors that detect two or more different modalities, such as, electrical, optical fluorescence, optical resonance, magnetic detection, or acoustic waves.

摘要: A holiday detector system can include a holiday detector with a housing for holiday inspection circuitry to perform holiday inspection on a surface, a probe extending from the housing for surface inspection, the probe electrically coupled to the holiday inspection circuitry. The holiday detector system can also include a graphical user interface device electrically connected to the holiday detector. The graphical user interface device has a display screen and logic and circuitry to receive holiday inspection signals from the holiday detector apparatus; generate digital data representative of the holiday inspection signals; format the digital data into a graphical representation of the holiday inspection signals; display the graphical representation of the holiday inspection signals on the display screen; and digitally store the digital data in a data storage device. The holiday detector can communicate holiday inspection signals with the graphical user interface by a peripheral device interface, including an audio jack.

摘要: A method for fabricating a composite film structure, the method includes determining a desired morphology for a metallic layer of the composite film structure, selecting a first metal substrate based on the determining, transferring a graphene layer onto the first metal substrate, depositing the metallic layer on the graphene layer to achieve the desired morphology, and removing the first metal substrate from the graphene and the deposited metallic layer to form the composite film structure. A surface energy difference between the first metal substrate and the deposited metallic layer results in the desired morphology of the metallic layer.
