摘要: A method for producing a protective element including the following steps is provided: mixing an aqueous, curable alkali silicate solution with silicon dioxide nanoparticles to form a filler having a first water content; performing thin-film evaporation of part of the water of the filler until the filler has a second water content that is less than the first water content, wherein the filler is flowable at the second water content; pouring the filler having the second water content into an intermediate space between two transparent substrate elements; and curing the filling mass in the intermediate space between the substrate elements while maintaining the second water content.

摘要: A fire-resistant glass unit is provided having at least two transparent carrier elements, in particular glass panes, and an intermediate layer between the carrier elements, this layer expanding for example in the event of a fire, or a gas-releasing intermediate layer, which builds up a pressure between the carrier elements. At least one glass pane of the fire-resistant glass unit, preferably the two outermost glass panes, or even all the glass panes adjacent to an intermediate layer, are provided with specific local weakening as a defined breaking point. A predetermined breaking point may be, for example, a groove or milled recess, in particular a notch.

摘要: A fire-resistant glazing panel comprises at least two glass sheets, between which is placed a transparent fire-resistant material made of a cured alkali metal polysilicate hydrate. At least one glass sheet is provided, on its surface which is in contact with the fire-resistant material, with a primer layer, the adhesion of which to the fire-resistant layer decreases at the temperatures of the test of behaviour towards fire. At the temperature of the test of behaviour towards fire, the glass sheet exposed to the fire separates completely from the fire-resistant material. For this reason, the polysilicate fire-resistant shield remains intact, even when the glass sheet exposed to the fire shatters and when the fragments fall off.

摘要: A glazing assembly for protecting against fire exhibits at least two panes adhesively bonded together via a spacer and a water-comprising intermediate layer which fills the intermediate space between the panes. The spacer is composed of a string, applied by extrusion over the peripheral region of a pane, made of a butyl polymer obtained from 40 to 65% by weight of polyisobutylene, from 10 to 25% by weight of carbon black and from 10 to 40% by weight of filler. Within these ranges, the composition is chosen so that the butyl polymer exhibits, at a temperature of 80° C., a transverse or shear modulus of elasticity of G* of 1.2 to 2.2 MPa.

摘要: A fire-resistant laminated glass pane assembly comprises a glass-ceramic pane resistant to high temperatures and having rough light-diffusing surfaces, the said pane being joined, on each of its two faces, to a silicate glass pane by means of transparent intermediate layers having a refractive index corresponding to the refractive index of the glass and the glass-ceramic. Transparent intermediate plies consist of a thermoplastic polymer having a high splinter fixation effect, and the silicate glass panes consist of tempered float glass. Fire-retarding glasses of this type not only have a high fire-retarding effect, but also withstand the so-called extinguishing water test and, moreover, have safety glass properties with increased safety in respect of injuries caused by splinters.
