摘要: A vibrotactile stimulation device intended to be applied against a body environment (MC) to be stimulated and having a vibrating effector suitable for applying, to the environment, pulses of mechanical vibrational energy, and a controller controlling the effector according to stimulation rules. The device further includes vibration detector suitable for being exposed to the body environment in order to receive a part of the vibrational energy transmitted to the environment during the application of the pulses of vibrational energy, and determine a transmission characteristic of the vibrational energy between the effector and the environment to be stimulated, the vibration detector being linked to the controller. An application to improving the efficacy of body stimulation in combating sleep apnea is also disclosed.

摘要: In particular the present invention relates to a method for predicting the risk of relapse and distant metastasis in a patient suffering from a triple negative breast cancer comprising the step of i) determining the level of soluble CD95L in a blood sample obtained from the patient ii) comparing the level determined at step i) with a predetermined reference value and iii) concluding that the patient will exhibit an increased risk of relapse and distant metastasis when the level determined at step i) is higher than the predetermined reference value or concluding that the patient will exhibit a decreased risk of relapse and distant metastasis when the level determined at step i) is lower than the predetermined reference value. The present invention also relates to a method of preventing metastases in a subject suffering from triple negative breast cancer comprising the steps consisting of i) predicting the risk of relapse and distant metastasis by the method according to the invention and ii) administering the subject with a therapeutically effective amount of a CD95 antagonist when it is concluded at step i) that the subject will exhibit an increased risk of relapse and distant metastasis.

摘要: Disclosed is a process and device allowing for fast measurements of the physicochemical properties of amphiphiles (lipids, surfactants, soaps, . . . ). A Marangoni flow is created and characterized using amphiphiles to be characterized. The observed flow is characterized, and using the disclosed process, one can deduce from this measurement many important physicochemical parameters of the amphiphiles such as their critical micellar concentration. Compared to existing techniques, the disclosed process offers the advantage that it requires a single experiment to deduce the parameters, when other techniques (pendant drop method, conductometry, etc . . . ) require the measurement of a quantity (interfacial tension, conductometry) against a systematically varied parameter (amphiphile concentration, . . . ). The disclosed process and devices are ideal to characterize and/or screen rapidly amphiphiles molecules based on their interaction with a solvent.
