摘要： This relates to the coating of air bags, which are used for safety purposes to protect occupants of vehicles such as automobiles, and of air bag fabrics intended to be made into air bags. In particular the invention relates to the top coating of air bags and air bag fabrics which have been pre-coated with a cured organic resin coating composition. The top-coat is an anti-blocking coating composition comprising at least one solid lubricant dispersed in an organic polymer binder. A process for applying the top-coat is also described.

摘要： A process for reduction of friction of a surface comprising the application to the surface of a coating composition comprising particles in a resin binder, characterised in that the particles are ceramic particles having a bimodal particle size distribution in which 15 to 75% by volume of the particles have a particle size in the range 10 to 250 nm and 25 to 85% by volume of the particles have a particle size in the range 3 to 25 μm, at least 90% by volume of the ceramic particles having particle size in the stated ranges. The process may be preceded with coating the surface with a corrosion inhibiting coating comprising aluminium particles and/or zinc particles in a silicate or organic titanate binder.

摘要： A Chromium VI-free coating composition comprises a binder and a corrosion inhibitor in a solvent, wherein the binder comprises a silicate and an organic titanate, and the corrosion inhibitor comprises aluminium particles and zinc particles preferably flakes. The composition may also comprise an anti-corrosion additive which comprises a metal phosphate, a lubricant which comprises a polyolefin wax, and/or a thickener. The coating composition is useful for coating substrates such as nuts, bolts and other fasteners, door, bonnet and boot lock parts, hinges, door stoppers, window guides, seat belt components, brake rotors and drums, and other transportation industry related parts.
