    摘要: An image/information display system and method based on temporal psychovisual modulation in the technical field of image/video processing and electro-optical display. The system includes a high speed display device and an auxiliary viewing device cooperating with each other and interacting with a human visual system. The auxiliary viewing device realizes the temporal amplitude modulation of the composition basic sequence by a method of controlling the light intensity transfer rate from the display plane of the high speed display device to the human eye. The present invention can not only display different pictures required individually by a plurality of users with the same display device but can also solve the problems of pictures being insufficiently bright and the number of pictures that can be generated being very low; such problems being unable to be overcome by the time division multiplexing method.

    摘要: The invention provides modified nucleotide or nucleoside molecule comprising a purine or pyrimidine base and a ribose or deoxyribose sugar moiety having a removable 3′-OH blocking group covalently attached thereto, such that the 3′ carbon atom has attached a group of the structure —O—Z wherein Z is any of —C(R′)2-O—R″, —C(R′)2-N(R″)2, —C(R′)2-N(H)R″, —C(R′)2-S—R″ and —C(R′)2-F, wherein each R″ is or is part of a removable protecting group; each R′ is independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl, substituted alkyl, arylalkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, heteroaryl, heterocyclic, acyl, cyano, alkoxy, aryloxy, heteroaryloxy or amido group, or a detectable label attached through a linking group; or (R′)2 represents an alkylidene group of formula ═C(R′″)2 wherein each R′″ may be the same or different and is selected from the group comprising hydrogen and halogen atoms and alkyl groups; and wherein said molecule may be reacted to yield an intermediate in which each R″ is exchanged for H or, where Z is —C(R′)2-F, the F is exchanged for OH, SH or NH2, preferably OH, which intermediate dissociates under aqueous conditions to afford a molecule with a free 3′OH; with the proviso that where Z is —C(R′)2-S—R″, both R′ groups are not H.

    摘要: A method, device and computer-readable medium for generating a super-resolution version of a compressed video stream. By leveraging the motion information and residual information in compressed video streams, described examples are able to skip the time-consuming motion-estimation step for most frames and make the most use of the SR results of key frames. A key frame SR module generates SR versions of I-frames and other key frames of a compressed video stream using techniques similar to existing multi-frame approaches to VSR. A non-key frame SR module generates SR version of the non-key inter frames between these key frames by making use of motion information and residual information used to encode the inter frames in the compressed video stream.

    摘要: An encoding/decoding method is provided for lossless compression of digital pictures of all types, including continuous-tone images, graphics, multimedia images of mixed text, graphics and photographs, binary documents and drawings. Continuous-tone mode and binary mode are identified on a pixel-by-pixel basis. In continuous-tone mode, context modeling and prediction are employed involving mostly integer arithmetic and simple logic in a conceptually sophisticated scheme. Both the encoding and decoding techniques are suitable for sequential and progressive transmission, although different specific algorithms may be employed for the different specific cases.
