    摘要: A battery state determining apparatus is provided which can accurately determine a state of a lead battery in an automotive vehicle. The apparatus calculates a corrected engine starting voltage Vst1 from an open-circuit voltage (OCV) measuring section that measures the open circuit voltage Vst of the lead battery at an engine starting time in accordance with a temperature of the vehicle. The apparatus further calculates a battery determination voltage Vst_th representing a voltage of the lead battery at an engine starting time when a growth rate of internal resistance of the lead battery reaches a predetermined value from the open-circuit voltage OCV. The apparatus then determines the battery state of the lead battery by determining whether the corrected engine starting voltage Vst1 is larger than the battery determination voltage Vst_th and whether the corrected engine starting voltage Vst1 belongs to a predetermined region on a characteristic map.

    摘要: A group modulator provided a plurality of digitally modulated signals with frequency division multiplex, having a time division multiplexer (11) for multiplexing a plurality of input data (#l through #n). A mapping circuit (12) provides an I-channel signal and a Q-channel signal according to a pattern of the multiplexed signal and the modulation system. A pulse shaping circuit (13) restricts bandwidth of the I-channel signal and the Q-channel signal. A frequency shift circuit (14) shifts frequency of the I-channel signal and the Q-channel signal by the frequency defined by the carrier control signal (i) for each input data. An accumulator (21,22) accumulates each of the I-channel signal and the Q-channel signal of the output of the frequency shift circuit (14) during a predetermined period (T). A D/A converter (31, 32) converts the output of the accumulator from digital form to analog form. A low pass filter (41, 42) is provided at the output of the D/A converter. A quadrature modulator (5) modulates carrier frequency (f.sub.c) with quadrature modulation according to the I-channel signal and the Q-channel signal at the output of the low pass filter. A multiplicity control (6) controls multiplicity in the time division multiplexer (11) according to an external multiplicity signal.

    摘要: A mechanical seal, such as may advantageously be used for an automotive water pump or the like, in which the amount of frictional torque is significantly reduced. The seal includes a follower ring through which a rotary shaft rotatably passes and a seat ring rotated by the shaft. Recesses are formed in the abutting surface of at least one of the two rings, each recess being defined by a forward edge and a rear edge and opening only to the inner circumferential surface of the rings. The forward edge of each recess is inclined from the inner circumferential surface to the rear side in the direction of rotation of the follower ring relative to the seat ring, and the rear edge extends from the outer end of the forward edge along a radial line extending through substantially the center of the shaft.

The current collecting lug part is formed with an elongated protrusion extending in a direction away from the current collecting portion. The elongated protrusion continuously extends in a direction toward the current collecting portion of the plate from inside the strap.
