摘要： Provided is a glass composition for protecting a semiconductor junction which contains at least SiO2, B2O3, Al2O3, ZnO and at least two oxides of alkaline earth metals selected from a group consisting of CaO, MgO and BaO, and substantially contains none of Pb, As, Sb, Li, Na and K, wherein an average linear expansion coefficient within a temperature range of 50° C. to 550° C. falls within a range of 3.33×10−6 to 4.13×10−6. A semiconductor device having high breakdown strength can be manufactured using such a glass material containing no lead in the same manner as a conventional case where “a glass material containing lead silicate as a main component” is used.

摘要： A motor-driven power steering apparatus includes a motor for generating assisting force to be imparted to a steering mechanism, a control signal generation section for generating a motor control signal on the basis of at least steering torque applied to a steering wheel, a motor drive unit for driving the motor in accordance with the motor control signal, and a step-up circuit provided between a battery to the motor drive unit. The step-up circuit includes a step-up coil whose one end is connected to the battery, a first switching element connected between the other end of the step-up coil and the ground, a second switching element connected between the other end of the step-up coil and an output terminal, and a capacitor connected between the output terminal and the ground and smoothing output voltage appearing at the output terminal. The apparatus further includes a step-up circuit control unit which detects the output voltage and controls the first and second switching elements on the basis of difference between a target output voltage and the detected output voltage. During power generation periods, at least the first switching element is turned on and off in order to increase the output voltage supplied to the motor through step-up operation. During regeneration periods, at least the second switching element is turned on and off.

摘要： Described is a solid wire for MAG welding which has no copper plating on the wire surface and which has good welding workabilities such as a reduced amount of generated spatters and good arc stability in the MAG welding of steel sheets.A solid wire for MAG welding comprises, as chemical components for the wire, 0.01 to 0.15 wt % of C, 0.20 to 1.00 wt % of Si, 0.70 to 1.70 wt % of Mn, 0.30 wt % or below of Ti, 0.025 wt % or below of S, 0.020 wt % or below of O, and the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities, wherein said wire is applied on the surface thereof with at least one compound serving as an arc stabilizer and selected from the group consisting of a K compound and a Cs compound in such a way that when an amount of the K compound to be applied to (calculated as K) is taken as Appm relative to the weight of said wire and an amount of the Cs compound (calculated as Cs) is taken as Bppm, a value of (A+3B) is in the range of 2 to 15 ppm. The wire has such a structure as not to be plated with copper on the surface thereof.

摘要： Embodiments of the present invention provide a data storage system that reduces a load of a data bus for connecting a HOST system with the data storage system. The data storage system includes a disk manager connected to the HOST system by a SCSI BUS, connected to a disk control unit by an RS PORT and connected to disk enclosures and a fan unit by a Serial BUS. The disk manager monitors operation of the disk control unit and disk enclosures and transmits results to the HOST system. In addition, control commands of the HOST system to the disk enclosures are executed via the disk manager.
