摘要: Disclosed is a wavelength multi/demultiplexer for separating two wavelength bands with a narrow wavelength spacing. A dielectric multilayer filter is provided in an intersection portion where two optical waveguides intersect each other and separates incident light to the dielectric multilayer filter to transmitted light and reflected light. Here, the distance X from the multilayer surface on the light-incident side of the dielectric multilayer to the central intersection point of the two intersecting optical waveguides is arranged to satisfy 0≦X≦d/2 (where “d” represents the thickness of the dielectric multilayer). With this configuration, a multi/demultiplexer can be realized that shows good wavelength response without spectral degradation even for two wavelengths having narrow wavelength spacing.

摘要: The present invention provides an optical demultiplexer and an optical multiplexer the transmission characteristics of which are unlikely to be affected by fabrication errors and which have small group delay dispersion. A cross output port (X-OUT) of a second optical demultiplexer element (DEMUX) is selected, and a through output port (T-OUT) of a third DEMUX is selected. A T-OUT of a first DEMUX has a passband equal to the X-OUT of the second DEMUX, and a X-OUT of the first DEMUX has a passband equal to the T-OUT of the third DEMUX. The T-OUT of the first DEMUX has group delay characteristics opposite to those of the X-OUT of the second DEMUX, and the X-OUT of the first DEMUX has group delay characteristics opposite to those of the T-OUT of the third DEMUX.

摘要: A no polarization dependent waveguide type optical circuit can resolve polarization dependency completely and can reduce reflected return light. An intermediate portion of the two connecting waveguides are formed with S-shaped waveguides of the same shape consisted of respectively two curved waveguides or two curved waveguides and straight waveguides connecting the curved waveguides. One polarization mode converter is provided in a groove formed across the S-shaped waveguide, and a perpendicular line to an incident surface of light of the polarization mode converter and the S-shaped waveguide forms an angle greater than 0°.

摘要: When a detection signal obtained from the cell of a gas sensor (S15) has reached a start determination value (specifically, when the output voltage of the cell is higher than 600 mV (S16: YES) or lower than 300 mV (S17: YES)), a pulse voltage is applied to the cell (S18), and a start-time internal resistance is obtained on the basis of the detection signal having changed as a result of application of the pulse voltage (S20). The start-time internal resistance is compared with a deterioration determination value set in advance (S21). A target resistance of the cell used in temperature control (energization control) for the heater is corrected in accordance with the result of the comparison (S28). Thus, the temperature of the cell can be stably maintained constant irrespective of deterioration of the cell.

摘要: A wall structure is provided, which, despite having a surface that is covered with elastic coating material and that is jointless, has an uneven pattern in the surface, and which does not require any great effort in the coating process and exhibit little variation in the finished design. The wall structure has a wall material, an elastic joint material, a mesh-shaped material and an elastic coating material. The surface of the wall material bears an uneven pattern in which the height difference between deepest portions and highest portions is 2.0 to 4.0 mm and a pattern loss ratio is 15% or less, and furthermore, the wall material is fixed in a state where a side end portion of the wall material is abutted against a side end portion of another wall material. The elastic joint material covers the surface of the abutting portion of the side end portions of the wall materials, and the elastic coating material covers the entire surfaces of the wall materials and of the elastic joint material. The uneven pattern in the surface of the wall is formed by coating the uneven surface of the wall material with the elastic coating material, and the amount of the elastic coating material is 2 to 6 kg/m2.
