Provided is a phthalocyanine compound which is halogen-free and which has a green hue, excellent resistance to organic solvents and acids, and high chroma. Also provided are a metal-free phthalocyanine compound or a metal phthalocyanine compound represented by specified general formula (1-1) or (1-2) and having a N,N′-disubstituted imidazolone structure or piperazinedione structure introduced therein, and a coloring composition including the compound and a synthetic resin. The phthalocyanine compound of the present invention exhibits a clear green color and is halogen-free, and is thus useful as a clear green pigment for coloring materials such as a coating material, plastic, a printing ink, rubber, leather, textile printing, a color filter, a jet ink, a heat transfer ink, etc.

Disclosed is a novel process for production of lasofoxifene, nafoxidine or an analogue thereof, which comprises reduced number of reaction steps, has a high efficiency, and is practically advantageous. For the production of lasofoxifene or an analogue thereof, a compound represented by the formula (4) is used as an intermediate. The compound represented by the formula (4) can be produced using compounds represented by the formulae (1) to (3) as starting compounds by performing the coupling of the three components in one step.

A power conversion device of the inverter type for three-phase DC motor includes three parallel pairs of output transistors between a power supply voltage and the ground potential. These pairs provide three upper-stage transistors and three lower-stage transistors with diodes being coupled thereto. Drivers are connected to the transistors respectively. A capacitor for each upper-stage driver has an electrode coupled to the power supply voltage and the other electrode coupled to the ground through a corresponding lower-stage transistor. A controller controls the upper- and lower-stage drivers in response to a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal generated by a PWM generator to represent a desired motor rotation speed. The upper-stage transistors are PWM-driven so that each one turns on and off repeatedly during a 120-degree electrical angle period. While one upper-stage transistor is PWM-driven during a 120-degree period, a corresponding lower-stage transistor turns on in response to a reverse-phased pulse at the beginning of this period, thereby charging the capacitor.
