The present invention is directed to a rheology control agent for coating compositions. The rheology control agent includes a compound having the Formula (I) including isomers or mixtures of isomers thereof: wherein p is 0, 1, 2, or 3; and R2, R3, R4, X and Y groups are described in the specification. The solvent-borne coating compositions containing the rheology control agent have improved rheology control on application and are useful for OEM, refinishing or repainting the exterior of automobile and truck bodies and parts thereof.

The invention discloses novel composite materials comprising a porous support and a nanoweb coating and/or interpenetrating the porous support. The nanoweb is comprised of fibrous structures derived from gelation and drying of supramolecular assemblies of non-covalently bonded organogelators. Typical organogelators useful in the invention include those that assemble via hydrogen bonding and π-stacking. Methods for preparing the composite materials are also disclosed that include critical point drying of the gelled nanowebs with carbon dioxide. The composites are useful as filters for gaseous and liquid fluids, as barrier fabrics, and as cleaning wipes.

The light source is disposed in the frame and located on one side thereof. The optical film is disposed in the frame and has at least one protrusion portion corresponding to the recess. The light blocking element or the light reducing element is disposed corresponding to the recess. By utilizing the light blocking element or the light reducing element, the light emitting from the light source can be block from leaking through the recess or the amount of the emitting light being reflected by a bezel of the frame can be reduced, whereby the amount of light leaking though the recess can be reduced.

A lighting device and a back light module therewith are disclosed. The back light module includes a light-guiding structure and a lighting device. The light-guiding structure includes two light-guiding parts and a reflection sheet disposed therebetween. The lighting device is disposed close to the light-guiding structure and includes an insulation carrier and two light sources disposed on the insulation carrier. The insulation carrier includes a positioning groove structure where an edge of the reflection sheet is disposed such that the two light sources correspond to the two light-guiding parts respectively and light emitted by the two light sources is capable of entering the corresponding light-guiding parts. Thereby, the invention uses the single-structure lighting device to simultaneously provide required light to the two light-guiding parts respectively, and uses the positioning structure formed on the lighting device to improve the assembly preciseness of the light-guiding structure with the lighting device.

The present invention provides polyurethane foams and elastomers made with an alkoxylated vegetable oil hydroxylate replacing at least a portion of the typically used petroleum-based polyol(s). Also provided are processes for making the inventive foams and elastomers and for making alkoxylated vegetable oil hydroxylates. The alkoxylated vegetable oil hydroxylates are environmentally-friendly, bio-based polyols which advantageously also offer the potential of improved hydrophobicity in polyurethane foams and elastomers. The inventive polyurethane foams and elastomers may find use in a wide variety of products such as automobile interior parts, polyurethane structural foams, floor coatings and athletic running tracks.
