Abstract: A system for controlling the clutch of an automotive vehicle includes clutch engagement amount deciding means for deciding an amount of clutch engagement based on the braking force applied by a brake device. A clutch actuator is controlled based on the amount of clutch engagement decided by the deciding means, so that the vehicle can be made to travel at very low velocity merely by operating a brake pedal.

Abstract: A device for holding the braking force of a motor vehicle has a braking force holding valve in a brake operating fluid circuit. The device ascertains whether a load is imposed on an engine of the motor vehicle based on detected signals indicating the amount of depression of an accelerator pedal and the rotational speed of the engine. When there is a load acting on the engine, the braking force holding device is opened to release a braking force.

Abstract: An automatic transmission can automatically change gears as if it were manually operated when a gearshift lever is operated in a large-sized car. When a gear changing operation is found to be of a hooked type, a gear drawing or shifting control is carried out according to the position of the gearshift lever. Subsequently, without any recognition of the neutral position, a gear selecting control and then the next gear shifting control are performed.
