    摘要: A display device has a timing controller and a microdriver. The timing controller receives multiple bit sequences of image data for multiple pixels of the display device. The timing controller also reorders the multiple bit sequences based on a significant bit position within the multiple bit sequences. Each of the multiple bit sequences corresponds to a respective individual pixel of the multiple pixels. The microdriver receives the reordered multiple bit sequences and drives the multiple pixels using the reordered plurality of bit sequences.

    摘要: Aspects of the subject technology relate to electronic device display circuitry and methods of operating the display. The display circuitry includes gate-in-panel (GIP) drivers for each pixel row of a pixel array, and mode selection circuitry coupled between two of the GIP drivers. The mode selection circuitry receives a select signal to switch the display between a full-screen mode of operation and a split-screen mode of operation. The mode selection circuitry allows the pixel rows to be operated in a butterfly driving mode that facilitates reduction of optical artifacts when displaying augmented-reality or virtual-reality content with a multi-function display such as a display of a smartphone or a tablet.

    摘要: An electronic device may include a display. The display includes display driver circuitry for driving data lines routed across the display. The electronic device may have a recessed device housing region, where at least some of the data lines are routed around the recessed region. The data lines being routed around the recessed region may be formed in at least two different metal routing layers. The electronic device may further include additional display driver circuitry for driving data lines from another peripheral housing edge to obviate the need to route around the recessed region. The data lines from the two display driver circuitries can be disconnected at random locations or can be interlaced to achieve spatial interleaving. The display driver circuitry may include demultiplexing circuitry having smaller switches coupled in parallel with larger demultiplexer routing switches to reduce voltage kick and charge injection.

    摘要: A display device may include pixels that display image data. The display device may also include a circuit that receives pixel data having a gray level for at least one pixel, such that the pixel data corresponds to a frame of the image data and the frame includes sub-frames. The pixel data causes the circuit to provide at least one current pulse to the at least one pixel according to a first order of the sub-frames. The circuit may also receive a second order of the sub-frames, such that the second order is mapped with respect to the first order, and at least one current pulse is provided to the at least one pixel according to the second order. As such, visual artifacts depicted on the display are reduced.
