    摘要: A water-containing plastic composition which comprises (a) 10-90 wt. % of water-containing powdery gel obtained by subjecting at least one water-soluble polymer such as polyvinyl alcohol, polyacrylamide, polyvinylpyrrolidone or poly(hydroxyalkyl acrylate), while it is in the state of an aqueous solution, to crosslinking reaction and then pulverizing the crosslinked product and (b) 90-10 wt. % of at least one plastic substance selected from thermoplastic and thermohardenable plastics. The water-containing plastic composition is suitable as a material for manufacturing poorly combustible molding materials.

    摘要: The invention presents a high-viscosity eye lotion with which lasting curve effects can be obtained with no feeling of foreign bodies to the eye as in the conventional eye salves used in treating eyes.The high-viscosity eye lotion of the invention comprises a swollen hydrated gel of a crosslinked polyvinyl alcohol and an eye-disease curative active ingredient contained therein. It is prepared by irradiating an aqueous solution of a polyvinyl alcohol with an ionizing radiation to such an extent that the polyvinyl alcohol is crosslinked to give a hydrated gel with an equilibrium swelling ratio in the range from 70 to 100 by weight and then dipping the hydrated gel in an aqueous solution of the eye-disease curative active agent.

    摘要: A dispersion containing minute polymer beads possessing a thermosensitive characteristic is produced by a method which comprises preparing an aqueous solution of an acrylamide type vinyl compound, the homopolymer of which exhibits a hydrophilicity-hydrophobicity thermoreversible solubility characteristic, adding a cationic or anionic surfactant in a ratio equaling or exceeding the micelle concentration to the aqueous solution, adjusting the resultant aqueous solution to a temperature not lower than the clouding point thereof and, at the same time, polymerizing the acrylamide type vinyl compound in the aqueous solution thereby forming a polymer emulsion, exposing the emulsion to an ionizing radiation thereby cross-linking minute polymer beads in the emulsion, and thereafter depriving the resultant polymer emulsion of the surfactant.

    摘要: 3-n-dodecylthiophene-3-methylthiophene copolymers are novel compounds having repeating units represented by the formula, ##STR1## and repeating units represented by the formula, ##STR2## randomly and linearly arranged and possessing a weight average molecular weight in the range of 60,000 to 100,000. 3-n-dodecylthiophene-3-methylthiophene copolymer compositions are novel compounds obtained by doping the copolymers mentioned above with a dopant. The copolymer compositions are obtained by electrolyzing a solution which consists of a supporting electrolyte capable of releasing a dopant, 3-n-dodecylthiophene, 3-methylthiphene, and a solvent. The copolymers mentioned above is produced by reducing the product of the electrolysis.

    摘要: A fibrous support for immobilizing enzymes and cells is prepared as a roll formed by winding a braid on a tubular frame member. The braid is formed in a tubular shape with a plurality of rovings containing very thin long filaments. The roll is formed by cross-winding of the braid to crush intersecting portions of the tubular braid flat. The roll of braid has an external void ratio of 15 to 30%. The thin long filaments of the tubular braid are obtained by spinning a mixture of polymers to form a plurality of fibers containing a soluble component and an insoluble component, joining the fibers to form a roving, forming a tubular braid from a plurality of the rovings and washing the braid to dissolve out the soluble component to produce separated thin long filaments of the insoluble component.
