    摘要: A merge sorting apparatus includes a comparison tournament circuit including comparison nodes, and a comparison control circuit for supplying to the corresponding comparison nodes validity flag information concerning the input data to each of the comparison nodes determined based on comparison results from the comparison nodes. The comparison control circuit includes comparison result registers for retaining the comparison results, validity flag registers for retaining the validity flag information, and merge member registers for retaining information as to whether the input data to each of the input registers corresponding to respective pathways should be the object of comparison in the following data comparison processing. With this arrangement, contending readouts of record arrays from a memory can be reduced and the necessity to initialize each register is eliminated, thereby speeding merge sorting.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a water heating and dispensing system adapted for use in an automobile, utilizing an exhaust pipe heated coil for the heat transfer. To accommodate the varying levels of exhaust heat the coil is adjustable in its position relative the pipe, thus providing varying amounts of heat transfer. Included further is a pressure regulating valve for releasing any in the system steam and a dispensing assembly for dispensing both cold and hot water. Also included are various electrically operated indicating lights and control inputs for indicating the heat range to which the water is to be brought up. In the normal mode, i.e. during the time when water is not dispensed, the hot water circuit is connected in a recirculation mode, the normal convective currents in the water providing sufficient circulation to exchange heat. The dispensing assembly, furthermore, includes an enclosed cavity in which cups may be placed, thus retaining the cups against inadvertent spillage.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a device attachable by way of a flexible conduit to the hot and cold water outlets found in a home, the device comprising a hollow handle structure provided with a cylindrical interior insert which communicates the water from the flexible hose to impinge onto the paddles of a plurality of pelton wheels mounted on a rotary shaft. The pelton wheels then drive the shaft in rotation, the shaft being geared by way of a pinion gear to an output sleeve to which a rotary brush is attached. The spend water is then passed through the sleeve into the brush. Included further in the handle is a control mixture arrangement for controlling the mix of warm and cold water passed therethrough.
