    摘要: A digital signal transmission system having monitor equipment including a serial/parallel (S/P) converter and a parallel/serial (P/S) converter both. The S/P converter is checked by the aid of a first monitor signal generating circuit that parallel distributes a pass pattern signal given at the input side of the S/P converter to respective individual channel lines for achieving a pass pattern check. The P/S converter is checked with the aid of a second monitor signal generating circuit that receives respective pass pattern signals given, at the input side of the P/S converter, to a multiplexed channel line sequentially at every frame to achieve a pass pattern check.

    摘要: A control information backup system includes a control unit which is driven by a first power unit and includes a memory for storing software control information which is used during a software operation of the control unit, and a plurality of independent units which are coupled to the control unit and are controlled by the control unit. The independent units are driven by respective second power units which are different from the first power unit and include a memory. The control unit includes a processor for storing the software control information in the memory of arbitrary ones of the independent units, and for reading out the software control information from the memory when making a recovery process after a failure of the first power unit.

    摘要: The present invention increases output throughput and enhances user-friendliness by subjecting image data to magnification processing by an optimal image processing means, with an optimal magnification ratio, in accordance with a service provided to a user. When a service provided to the user is selected and a magnification ratio is set, a CPU of a MFP determines the distribution of respective magnification ratios of a first image data processor and a second image data processor. For instance, when the selected service is a “service relating to the output of image data” the distribution of respective magnification ratios is determined so that magnification processing with the set magnification ratio is carried out in the first image data processor. When the selected service is “a plurality of services relating to the output of image data”, and the set magnification ratios are all identical for each service, the distribution of respective magnification ratios is determined so that magnification processing with the respective magnification ratios is carried out in the first image data processor. When the set magnification ratios are different for each service, the distribution of respective magnification ratios is determined so that magnification processing with the respective magnification ratios is carried out in the second image data processor.

    摘要: In a diesel engine, the closing timing for the intake valves is maintained in the vicinity of bottom dead center during engine starting and in a low engine revolution speed region, while on the other hand this closing timing is retarded the more from bottom dead center, the higher is the engine revolution speed region, and thereby the engine can be designed with a lower compression ratio. Preferably the temperature within the cylinder at compression top dead center, i.e. the compressions stroke end temperature, is calculated, and the closing timing for the intake valves is controlled so as to keep this final compression temperature within a predetermined range. By doing this, reduction of the size of the diesel engine is made possible due to lowering of the compression ratio thereof, while both the composition of the exhaust gas and also engine output power are maintained at preferable levels.
