The method comprises the steps of subjecting the field effect device to a low temperature environment, developing a first set of data points by measuring the conductance of the field effect device as a function of gate voltage at a first substrate bias, developing a second set of data points by measuring the conductance of the field effect device as a function of gate voltage at a second substrate bias, which is different from the first substrate bias, and comparing the first and second sets of data points to obtain an assessment of radiation hardness.

    摘要: Method, apparatus and systems for a quick change lamp ballast assembly for newly manufactured lamp fixtures having the quick change ballast or a retrofit for an existing lamp fixture. The quick change ballast assembly includes a ballast mounting fixture 110 for housing the ballast 300, a wire connector fixture 130 and a mounting plate 120 for mounting the ballast mounting fixture 110. The ballast assembly allows for replacement of a non operating ballast to reduce replacement time and labor costs. In a new lamp fixture, the quick change ballast is thermally isolated from the lamp fixture, which reduces the effects of the waste heat from the ballast, and increase overall building efficiency by reducing the cooling load.

    摘要: A system and methods for pumping a multiphase fluid using a pneumatic pump are described herein. The method includes separating a multiphase fluid into a gas stream and liquid streams, and flowing a liquid stream into a pressure vessel of a pneumatic pump until a liquid level within the pressure vessel reaches a specified high level. The method also includes compressing the gas stream to form a high-pressure gas and pressurizing the pressure vessel by the flowing high-pressure gas into the pressure vessel until a pressure level within the pressure vessel reaches a specified high level. The method further includes pumping the liquid stream from the pressure vessel to a destination until the liquid level within the pressure vessel drops to a specified low level, wherein the high-pressure gas provides a motive force for pumping the liquid stream.

    摘要: A threshold assembly includes a base defining a channel, a plurality of nuts slideably engaged in the channel, a rail disposed on the base and defining a plurality of holes, and a plurality of threaded fasteners rotationally retained in the holes and threadedly engaging the nuts. The channel has a neck and a pair of opposing sides angling outwardly from the neck into the base. Each nut presents opposing contact surfaces complimentary to the opposing sides of the channel such that the nut is slideably engaged in the channel. The nut also includes an elongated platform such that when the threaded fastener is rotated, the elongated platform and the opposing contact surfaces of the nut engage the opposing sides of the channel such that the height of the rail relative to the base is adjusted in response to rotation of the threaded fastener relative to the nut.

    摘要: An astragal boot is mounted onto a lower end of an astragal disposed on a free end of a semi-active door in a double-door set disposed over a threshold. The astragal boot includes a platform and a pair of lateral fins spaced from one another and being flexible and projecting downwardly from the platform to seal against the threshold. Primary fins are flexible and project downwardly from the platform a greater distance than the lateral fins and are joined to and extend between the lateral fins. The lateral fins are joined to the primary fins and hold the primary fins into sealing engagement with the threshold to prevent the penetration of water between the astragal boot and the threshold. The lateral fins hold the primary fins against the threshold because the primary fins are thinner thereby minimizing the effort required to close the semi-active door over the threshold.
