摘要: Embodiments of present application treat Connection Information Files contained in an instance of an application, such as a workbook, as independent objects and multiple data objects, such as data summary tables, may link to one Connection Information File. Maintaining Connection Information Files as independent objects within an instance of an application provides the ability to modify a connection to an external data source and have that modification applied to all linked data objects without having to modify each data object individually. Additionally, a user may view a complete list of all Connection Information Files that exist within a workbook and easily add, delete, or modify those Connection Information Files.

摘要: A wireless communication device includes an antenna for wireless communication with a remote interrogator. Several embodiments are disclosed to increase the options available to designers of wireless communication devices. In some embodiments, the antenna is a quarter wavelength long with one end of the antenna being grounded to provide desired impedance matching characteristics. The position of the ground plane relative to the antenna is also varied between embodiments. The connection from a wireless communication chip to the antenna is also varied between embodiments to provide alternate structures.

摘要: A wireless communication device coupled to a wave antenna that provides greater increased durability and impedance matching. The wave antenna is a conductor that is curved in alternating sections. The wireless communication device is coupled to the wave antenna to provide wireless communication. The wireless communication device and wave antenna may be placed on objects, goods, or other articles of manufacture that are subject to forces such that the wave antenna may be stretched or compressed during the manufacture and/or use of such object, good or article of manufacture. The wave antenna, because of its curved structure, is capable of stretching and compressing more easily than other structures, reducing the wireless communication device's susceptibility to damage or breakage that might render the wireless communication device coupled to the wave antenna unable to properly communicate information wirelessly.

The tab(s) form a pole antenna, and the tabs may also be attached across a slot to form a slot antenna. The tab(s) may be attached across a slot created in a package to form a slot antenna, or the tab(s) may be attached to a slot that is created as part of the wireless communication device to form a slot antenna. The tab(s) and/or the slot may also contain an adhesive material to attach the wireless communication device to a package, container or other material. More than one slot may be provided to form a circularly polarized antenna. The carrier may be a conductive material in which tabs are formed as part of the carrier before the wireless communication device is attached. The wireless communication device may have an asymmetrical antenna arrangement.

摘要: Metallurgical powder compositions of the present invention include an iron based powder combined with a master alloy powder, as a mechanical property enhancing powder. The addition of master alloy powders has been found to enhance the mechanical properties of the final, sintered, compacted parts made from metallurgical powder compositions, especially at low sintering temperatures. Metallurgical powder compositions include at least about 80 weight percent of an iron-based metallurgical powder and from about 0.10 to about 20 weight percent of a master alloy powder. Master alloy powders include iron and from about 1.0 to about 40 weight percent chromium, and from about 1.0 to about 35 weight percent silicon, based on the weight of the master alloy powder.

摘要: A liquid sensor device, system and method depends on the structural deformation of a trigger material in contact with a liquid, such as water, to convert potential energy of a resilient material to kinetic energy that triggers a mechanical response in an activated state. A transfer arm is biased toward the activated state and may be retained in a deactivated state, against urging of a spring, by a trigger material that may be structurally rigid while substantially dry. Upon contact with a liquid, such as water, the trigger material may relinquish structural rigidity and be substantially deformed. Upon substantial deformation of the trigger material, the transfer arm may be urged into the activated state by activating a locking mechanism or electronically, such as by activating a switch such as a micro switch. In the activated state, the triggered mechanical response may activate an alarm, and may trigger an electrical response to close a valve, such as a natural gas valve on a gas-heated hot water tank.
