    摘要: Oxalyl chloride is prepared by (i) first esterifying ethylene glycol with trichloroacetyl chloride, (ii) next photochemically chlorinating the ester which results from the step (i), i.e., ethylene glycol bis-trichloroacetate, and (iii) then decomposing the tetrachloroethylene glycol bis-trichloroacetate thus formed into the desired oxalyl chloride and trichloroacetyl chloride, said steps (i) and (iii) being conducted in the absence of any reaction solvent, other than the trichloroacetyl chloride, and the chlorination step (ii) being conducted at a temperature of from about 50.degree. to 200.degree. C.

    摘要: A continuous process for chlorination of 1,1,1-trichloroethane alone or in admixture with other aliphatic chlorinated C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 hydrocarbons in a liquid phase reaction with molecular chlorine in the presence of a catalyst selected from the group consisting of ferric chloride, iron oxychloride and mixtures thereof in the absence of light radiations wherein the reaction may be carried out in a single reaction zone at a temperature within the range of 35.degree.-120.degree. C. or in a series of reaction zones in which the effluent from the first reaction zone is introduced into the second reaction zone along with additional chlorine and unsaturated chlorinated hydrocarbon with the temperature in the second reaction zone being less by at least 5.degree. than the temperature in the initial reaction zone.

    摘要: The invention concerns a method of purifying hydrogen chloride gas containing small quantities of chlorine. The purifying method comprises passing impure hydrogen chloride over carbon, at a temperature from 30.degree. to 200.degree. C, in the presence of at least one olefin, possibly containing chlorine. The method of the invention applies particularly to the hydrogen chloride obtained from a chloroethane cracking operation initiated by chlorine.
