摘要: In an apparatus for coating a surface of at least one lens having pair of opposed major surfaces, al least one lens support is coupled to a frame and is rotatable relative thereto. A lens is releasably mounted to the lens support leaving one of the major lens surfaces exposed. A mounting plate is coupled to the frame and is positioned proximate to the lens support. A series of work stations are carried by the mounting plate for sequentially performing work operations on the exposed major surface of the lens. The lens support is indexable relative to the mounting plate to position the exposed lens surface adjacent to each of the work stations in response to commands issued from a controller.

摘要: A pressure regulator (100) is provided. The pressure regulator (100) includes various features that reduce the risk of internal leaking. The pressure regulator (100) includes a regulator body (101) including a fluid inlet (107) with a valve seat (106) and a fluid outlet (108) and a cap (102) coupled to the regulator body (101). The pressure regulator (100) also includes a diaphragm (103) with a first side (103a) exposed to the fluid inlet (107) and the fluid outlet (108) and a second side (103b) exposed to the cap (102). The diaphragm (103) can frictionally engage the regulator body (101) to form a fluid tight seal. Additionally, the diaphragm (103) may include a socket (118) formed in the diaphragm (103) and a valve member (105) including a valve stem (110) with a ball (118) that is adapted to engage the socket (118) formed in the diaphragm (103) in order to couple the valve member (105) to the diaphragm (103).

摘要: Disclosed is a method of processing data pertaining to a medical procedure. The method includes receiving information indicative of at least one of an imaging device and a video capture device, and information indicative of an identity of a patient to be treated during the medical procedure. The data is received by the computer system without the identity of the patient. A relationship is established to link the data with the identification of the patient. Application of at least one processing rule is initiated to reduce a file size of the data from an original file size of the data as transmitted by the at least one of the imaging device and the video capture device. The data is stored in combination with the identification of the patient in a manner compliant with a standardized medical imaging transmission format.

摘要: A new and improved semi-automatic machine, for forming slits within side wall members of a packaging structure so as to render successive sections of the packaging structure articulated with respect to each other whereby the packaging structure can be folded into a packaging container, includes a pair of oppositely disposed circular saw blade assemblies which are disposed at a cutting station and which are mounted upon a vertically movable reciprocating carriage mechanism. The carriage mechanism is initially disposed at a first ELEVATED INOPERATIVE position, the packaging structure is fed into the machine and stopped at a predetermined longitudinal position at which it is desired to cut or slit the packaging structure, and the carriage mechanism is moved vertically downwardly toward a second LOWERED OPERATIVE position at which the pair of circular saw blades cut the oppositely disposed dependent side wall members of the packaging structure. Subsequently, the circular saw blade assemblies are retracted vertically upwardly as a result of moving the carriage mechanism back to the first ELEVATED INOPERATIVE position, the packaging structure is advanced further and stopped at another predetermined axial position at which it is desired to cut the packaging structure, and the entire operative cycle is repeated as necessary.

摘要: A tool system comprises a circular saw blade which is adapted to be moved in a reciprocating manner between an elevated, RETRACTED, INOPERATIVE position and a lowered, EXTENDED, OPERATIVE position so as to repeatedly form slits within a packaging structure at a plurality of positions which are defined at predeterminedly spaced locations along the longitudinal extent of the packaging structure. A circular saw blade guide member is disposed adjacent to the outer periphery of the circular saw blade and is movable along with the circular saw blade between its elevated, RETRACTED, INOPERATIVE position and its lowered, EXTENDED, OPERATIVE position. Accordingly, as the circular saw blade is moved from its lowered, EXTENDED, OPERATIVE position back to its elevated, RETRACTED, INOPERATIVE position, the guide member will in effect guide the circular saw blade back through the slit formed within the packaging structure so as to facilitate the retractive movement of the circular saw blade, back through the slit formed within the packaging structure, thereby effectively eliminating the tendency of the circular saw blade to otherwise encounter the edge or wall portions of the packaging structure, which define the slit, in an obstructive manner as the circular saw blade is moved from its lowered EXTENDED, OPERATIVE position to its elevated RETRACTED, INOPERATIVE position in preparation for the performance of a subsequent cutting operation.

摘要: Provided herein are methods for detecting glycated hemoglobin in, for example, human whole blood, that are not affected by the presence of variation in amino acid sequence that can exist in hemoglobin β chains. The methods detect all glycated hemoglobin in a sample, regardless of the form of the hemoglobin that has been glycated, and thus detect glycated human Hemoglobin A, Hemoglobin S, and Hemoglobin C.
