The epoxy-based adhesive coating including a first epoxy material containing approximately 25% solids by weight and a second curative material containing about 32% solids by weight. According to one aspect of the present invention, the first epoxy offered suitably includes about 3% to about 35% liquid Diglycidylether of Bisphenol-A, about 35% to about 60% solid Diglycidylether of Bisphenol-A, about 10% to about 30% Novolac-Epoxy, and about 5% to about 18% Solid Carboxy—Terminated Acrylonitrile—Butadiene Rubber, and the second curative material suitably includes about 0% to about 100% 4,4′-Diaminodiphenylsulfone, about 0% to about 100% 3,3′-Diaminodiphenylsulfone, and about 0% to about 0.2% Chromium octoate.

An article with a high temperature superalloy body having a directionally oriented microsuucture and a structural discontinuity, such as a crack, or surface erosion or wear portion, is repaired, to provide a repaired article, using a mixture of Ni base ahoy powders. One powder includes a careful balance of the temperature depressants Si and B. In the one powder, Si is included in the range of about 0.05-2.2 wt. % to provide about 0.02-1.3 wt. % Si in a repaired portion as bonded with the article. In that same powder, B is include in the range of about 0.2-1.2 wt. % to provide about 0.08-0.7 wt. % in that repaired portion. In the repair method, the repaired portion can be provided, when shorter brazing times are used, with improved mechanical properties by diffusing the brazed alloy and aging the repaired structure in the range of about 1600.degree.-1700.degree. F. for a time in the range of about 1-16 hours.

In an hydraulic anti-skid braking system of the pump and de-boost type, the de-boost piston is held in an advanced inoperative position by a volume of fluid trapped in a space and supplied by a pump. A bleed device communicating with the space is held in an open position during initial bleeding of the system by a friction device which acts as a stop and which is releasable when the bleed device is subjected to a predetermined pressure. This enables initial bleeding to be carried out automatically and without an operator operation to open and close a bleed device. The device comprises a pressure-responsive detent which is located in a radial bore in the housing and has a releasable engagement at its inner end in a groove in a spool which comprises the bleed device.
