Abstract: A laminate for a battery with a polypropylene adhesive layer and a metal substrate layer: (1) the adhesive includes 40-94 wt % of a propylene copolymer (A), 3-30 wt % of a butene-containing copolymer (B), 3-30 wt % of an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer (C) ((A), (B), and (C) is 100 wt %), (2) the copolymer (A) has a melting point of 130° C. or more measured with a differential scanning calorimeter, and a total proportion of a structural unit derived from ethylene is 4-25 mol % relative to 100 mol % of a total structural units forming all the copolymers (A) contained in the adhesive, (3) the copolymer (B) includes less than 1 mol % of a structural unit derived from ethylene, and has a melting point of 100° C. or less measured with a differential scanning calorimeter, and (4) the copolymer (C) includes 50-99 mol % of a structural unit derived from ethylene.

Abstract: A slide bearing can include a metal support, a primer layer, an adhesive layer applied directly thereto, and a sliding layer applied to the adhesive layer. The primer layer can include an oligomeric condensate of at least one silanol selected from the group having the formula: wherein x is 1 or 2, y is 0 or 1. The moieties R1 and R2 can be the same or different. The moieties R1 and R2 can be selected from the group consisting of methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, i-propyl, and a functionalized alkyl group R′—(CH2)z—, wherein z is at least 1. Slide bearings comprising a primer system based on silanol oligomeric condensates show improved peel strength than their analogous slide bearings lacking the primer system.

Abstract: A method for fabricating a flexible display device is provided. The method comprises: attaching a first flexible substrate of the flexible display device onto a conductive adhesive layer, wherein the conductive adhesive layer is disposed on a conductive rigid substrate; fabricating other parts of the flexible display device on the first flexible substrate; aging the conductive adhesive layer; peeling off the flexible substrate from the conductive rigid substrate so as to obtain the flexible display device.

Abstract: A polyolefin-based composition made from or containing (A) a first polymer composition made from or containing a polyolefin grafted with an unsaturated monomer, (B) a second polymer composition made from or containing a polyethylene, and (C) a third polymer composition made from or containing (i) a first polyisobutylene and (ii) a second polyisobutylene. The first polyisobutylene has a Viscosity Average Molecular Weight (VAMW1), and the second polyisobutylene has a Viscosity Average Molecular Weight (VAMW2), wherein VAMW1≠VAMW2. The polyolefin-based composition is useful as an adhesives or a tie-layer adhesive composition for multi-layered structures. In particular, the composition is useful as an adhesive to bind a metal layer to a dissimilar substrate.
