摘要: An optical recording medium adapted for high density recording with a light of short wavelength which exhibits excellent jitter properties, and its recording method are provided. The optical recording medium recorded and/or reproduced with a light at a wavelength of 600 to 680 nm comprises a substrate having grooves formed on its surface at a track pitch of up to 0.8 .mu.m, and a recording layer containing an organic die disposed on the substrate. Depth A and width B of the groove (.mu.m) and leveling ratio C are in the relation:0.035.ltoreq.A.times.B.ltoreq.0.06, and2.ltoreq.C/A.ltoreq.3.5when the leveling ratio C is represented by the following formula (I):leveling ratio=[thickness of the recording layer on the groove (.mu.m)-thickness of the recording layer on the land (.mu.m)]/[depth of the groove (.mu.m)]

摘要: In an optical recording disk 1 comprising a dye layer 2 formed on a substrate 3 as a light absorbing layer and a reflective layer 4 stacked thereon, tracking servo control is carried out by the push-pull method. To produce normal and accurate tracking error signals, the surface of the dye layer 2 includes depressed and raised sections corresponding to grooves 31 and lands 35 and .DELTA.D which is given by the formula:.DELTA.D=D.sub.L +d.sub.G -D.sub.Gwherein D.sub.G is the thickness of the dye layer on the groove 31, D.sub.L is the thickness of the dye layer on the land 35, and d.sub.G is the depth of the groove has a higher magnitude than .DELTA.D.sub.0 which is associated with a tracking error signal of zero.

摘要: An ultrasonic probe has an organism contact portion that is shaped for use along a comparatively large curvature and can easily be used while closely contacting an organism. The probe includes a first cylinder pulley secured to a probe casing, an arm secured to a motor spindle extending through the first pulley, and a second cylinder pulley rotatably arranged on the opposite side and coupled to the first pulley by a wire. The second pulley is equipped with a slider shaft that is arranged to be extendable by a slider bearing. The slider shaft is equipped with a roller contacting a guide rail of the casing. An ultrasonic element is attached to the distal end of the slider shaft to provide the telescopic structure for the slider shaft. In this manner, the size of a scanning mechanism, for oscillating the ultrasonic element along a large curvature, is reduced.

摘要: The present invention aims to provide a coating liquid for producing an optical recording medium that can record large volumes of data and can respond sufficiently to high speed writing, a method for producing an optical recording medium using the same, and an optical recording medium. The coating liquid for use in a method for producing an optical recording medium according one embodiment of the invention contains a solvent and a pigment dissolved in the solvent. The solvent includes TFP and/or OFP and an aliphatic saturated alcohol having 1-4 carbon atoms by 0.01-10% by mass relative to the total amount of the solvent, and the pigment includes the compound represented by the following general formula (1) and a chelate compound consisting of an azo compound and a metal. [where, each of R11, R12, R13 and R14 (hereinafter, represented as “R11-R14”) represents independently from one another a benzyl group that may have a substituent or an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, R15 represents a trimethine chain that may have a substituent, each of R16 and R17 represents independently from each other a group of atoms that constitute a benzene ring that may have a substituent or a naphthalene ring that may have a substituent, and each of R18 and R19 represents independently from each other an aryl group that may have a substituent or an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, provided that at least one group among R11, R12, R13 and R14 is not a methyl group. In this case, respective carbons of R11 and R12 and/or R13 and R14 may make a bond to form a 3- to 6-membered ring.]
