摘要: A method of monitoring the inner surfaces of copper-alloy condenser tubes of a condenser through which seawater flows as a coolant by controlling a ferrous-ion injecting operation to inject ferrous ions into the coolant for forming a protective film on the inner surfaces of the condenser tubes, and a sponge-ball cleaning operation to clean the inner tube surfaces by passing sponge balls through the condenser tubes. During an initial period of exposure of the condenser tubes to the coolant after installation of the condenser tubes in the condenser, the ferrous ions are injected into the coolant to form the protective film on the inner surfaces of the condenser tubes until the polarization resistance of the condenser tubes has reached 10.sup.4 .OMEGA.cm.sup.2. Subsequently, the ferrous-ion injecting operation and the sponge-ball cleaning operation are executed while the polarization resistance and heat transfer rate of the condenser tubes are monitored. The injecting and cleaning operations are performed to maintain within suitable ranges the polarization resistance and the heat transfer rate of the condenser tubes. These ranges may vary, depending upon whether the coolant is non-chlorinated seawater, chlorinated seawater, or sulfide-ion polluted seawater.

摘要: A condenser including a plurality of condenser tubes through which a coolant is caused to flow, a device for injecting ferrous ions into the coolant before it passes through the condenser tubes to form a protective film on an inner surface of the condenser tubes, and a device for introducing sponge balls into the condenser tubes for cleaning their inner surfaces. The condenser has a by-pass line extending outside the body of the condenser, in parallel connection with the condenser tubes. The by-pass line has a monitor tube of the same material and size as the condenser tubes, so that the coolant flows through the monitor tube under the same conditions as the coolant flowing through the condenser tubes. The monitor tube is equipped with a device for measuring a polarization resistance of the monitor tube, and a device for sensing a fouling condition of the inner surface of the monitor tube. The injection of ferrous ions into the condenser tubes and the cleaning of their inner surfaces with the sponge balls are adjusted in response to the measured or sensed polarization resistance and fouling condition of the monitor tube.

摘要: A method and apparatus for coating a long tube of small diameter by means of inserting a supplying hose of double structure, with a spray nozzle ahead and two separately extending inner and outer hoses for supplying paint and compressed air respectively therethrough, into the long tube from one end opening thereof toward the other end opening thereof, and retracting the spray nozzle, when it has reached the destination, while spraying the paint at a predetermined speed. The inner hose for the paint is made of flexible material as an elastic hose for being compressive in the diametrical direction under the pressure from the compressed air in the outer hose and again restorable to the original shape when the pressure is released. This supplying hose can be fed out from and wound up on a drum of a winding up mechanism regularly and automatically, with the aid of a pinching roller mechanism which moves the supplying hose forwardly and backwardly by the rotating force of a pair of pinching rollers under some pressure for preventing the slackening of the same when it is moved in either direction.

摘要: A coating method and apparatus for coating the inner surface of a long tube of small diameter, specifically tubes for a condenser. The coating is a type of spray coating wherein a long flexible supply hose, longer than the long tube to be coated, is reciprocated in the long tube with a spray nozzle attached to the tip thereof for spraying the paint by the action of compressed air, from one end of the long tube to the other end thereof while spraying the paint in atomization. The long flexible supply hose of double structure or sometimes of triple structure is composed of a short heating pipe portion adjacent to the spray nozzle and a long flexible hose portion. The paint and compressed air supplied through separate passages in the supply hose are heated to a predetermined temperature by heating means, for example, a sheathed electrical heater wound about an inside pipe of the heating pipe portion upstream of where the paint is sprayed.

摘要: Provided is a touch-panel device capable of detecting a touched position with high accuracy even when a touched area extends off an electrode area. In one embodiment, the touched area is assumed to be, for example, circular in shape. A width in an X direction (overlap width) and a width in a Y direction (overlap width) of an overlap area where the touched area in a circular shape and an electrode area overlap each other is determined based on sensor measured values. When the overlap width and the overlap width are different from each other, it is judged that the touched area extends off the electrode area, and a position of a center of the touched area in the circular shape is calculated as the touched position.

摘要: This storage system supplies, to a plurality of computers, a plurality of duplicate volumes (CVOLs) (corresponding to duplicates of a master volume (MVOL) upon which is stored an electronic object (EO) that is common to the plurality of computers). Both the MVOL and the CVOLS are virtual logical volumes that follow sync provisioning. In the plurality of CVOLs, a plurality of physical regions that are allocated to the MVOL (i.e. regions in which the electronic object is stored) (PAs) are allocated. A storage, when writing an electronic module (EM) to which the EO is applied to the first CVOL, copies data within a first PA that is allocated to the virtual region (VA) that is the write destination to a second PA, writes the EM to the second PA, and moreover allocates the second PA to a VA of the write destination, instead of the first PA. And the storage allocates the second PA to a VA within the second CVOL corresponding to the VA of the write destination, instead of the PA that is allocated to that VA.

摘要: A cable mounting structure for an electric apparatus is provided which ensures sealing properties, such as waterproof properties and dustproof properties, and which can effectively contribute to downsizing, while easing restrictions on the size of a connecting tool mounted on one end of a cable connected to an electric apparatus body. The cable mounting structure comprises a housing (10) for accommodating an electric apparatus body, a cable (11) connected to the electric apparatus body via a second connector (12) or the like, a grommet (20) mounted on the cable (11), a recessed housing section (15) provided in the housing (10), and a lid (30) for closing the recessed housing section. The recessed housing section is formed in a closed-bottomed tubular shape recessed inwardly of the housing. A grommet mounting hole for fixing the grommet (20) thereto is formed in a peripheral wall section (15a) of the recessed housing section, and a pass-through section (31) through which the cable is passed is formed in the lid. The connecting tool is disposed within the recessed housing section, and the pass-through section is positioned to the grommet.

摘要: A first storage system that has a first storage device comprises a first interface device that is connected to a second interface device that a second storage system has. A first controller of the first storage system reads system information elements of first system information (information relating to the constitution and control of the first storage system) from a first system area (a storage area that is not provided for the host of the first storage device) and transfers the system information elements or modified system information elements to the second storage system via the first interface device. The system information elements are recorded in a second system area in a second storage device that the second storage system has.
