摘要: A foldable stay device arranged on a rear portion of a motorcycle includes a foldable stay unit secured to a seat rail. The foldable stay unit includes a base, a fastener stay supported by the base for pivotal movement between a projected position, in which the fastener stay protrudes outwardly of a motorcycle body in readiness for engagement with a luggage fastening member, and a folded position in which the fastener stay is accommodated inwardly of the projected position in a motorcycle width direction, and a carrier stud for supporting the fastener stay to permit the latter to undergo the pivotal movement between the projected and folded positions about a pivotal axis vertically extending. The fastener stay, when held at the projected position, is arranged above an outer tip line depicted by an outwardly bulged side portion of a rear cowl for covering the seat rail from the side.

摘要: A fairing unit (21) for enclosing a front portion of a vehicle body includes a fairing body (22) and a front edge member (23) mounted removably on the fairing body and forming a major component of a front edge of the fairing unit. The front edge member is made up of left and right front edge pieces (23a, 23b). A fairing assembly (43) includes the fairing unit and turn signal lamps (44A, 44B) mounted on the fairing body at a location rearwardly of the front edge member so as to protrude in a direction laterally outwardly thereof. The turn signal lamp is supported for collapsible movement in a direction laterally inwardly.

摘要: A nozzle orifice of a nozzle (1) includes a tapered segment (16) extending from an elliptical discharge orifice (15) and having a taper angle θ of 30 to 80°, and a large-diameter segment (18) continuing with the tapered segment. The ratio of the inner diameter of large-diameter segment (18) relative to the minor diameter of the discharge orifice (15) is not less than 3 and less than 7. Also, the discharge how from the nozzle spreads in a single direction (width direction) within a plane perpendicular to the central axis of the nozzle and the erosion thickness angle is 1.5 to 3° in the direction (thickness direction), perpendicular to the width direction. Such a descaling nozzle enables that scale is removed efficiently at low pressure and/or low flow rate while restraining the cooling of a steel plate.

摘要: A game system including a stationary game machine requiring an external power supply, such as a coin-operable business-use game machine or a home game machine, and a portable game machine having an internal power supply. Game programs for raising game characters are installed in the stationary and portable game machines. The stationary game machine has more internal resources, and its programs support higher resolution video game data. The portable game machine has a vibration sensor for receiving input during play, resulting in the raising of the character. Each of these game machines are provided with a radio data transfer means through which a game result from a memory in one of the game machines can be transferred to a memory in the other game machine. The game machine receiving the game result can use that result in subsequent processing, such as for a starting point in further play or for creating video data that can be printed on a printer. The game machine receiving the result can include a camera for generating images of a player and an image synthesizing mechanism for combining player images with character images so that the resulting synthesized image can be printed. Further game results can be passed back to the portable game machine, or to another game machine, for further game play.
