摘要: Described herein is a process for producing polyurethane foams having a density of 30 g/dm3 to 70 g/dm3, in which (a) aromatic polyisocyanate is mixed with (b) polymeric compounds having isocyanate-reactive groups, (c) optionally chain extender and/or crosslinking agent, (d) catalyst, (e) blowing agent including water, (f) 0.1% to 5% by weight of lactam, and (g) optionally additives, at an isocyanate index of 50 to 95 to form a reaction mixture, and the reaction mixture is converted to the polyurethane foam, wherein the catalyst includes metal catalyst and amine catalyst, and the amine catalyst has tertiary nitrogen atoms and the content of tertiary nitrogen atoms in the amine catalyst is from 0.0001 to 0.003 mol/100 g of foam. Also described herein is a polyurethane foam and a method of using such a flexible polyurethane foam for the production of cushions, seat cushions, or mattresses.

摘要: Provided herein is a process for producing viscoelastic polyurethane foams having a density of from 100 g/dm3 to 300 g/dm3, in which (a) polyisocyanate is mixed with (b) polymeric compounds having groups that are reactive toward isocyanates, (d) a catalyst, and (e) a blowing agent including water at an isocyanate index of from 50 to 95 to give a reaction mixture. The reaction mixture is placed in a mold and reacted to give the flexible polyurethane foam, wherein the polyisocyanate (a) is obtainable by mixing 4,4′-MDI and oligomers of propylene oxide having from 2 to 8 propylene oxide units. The polymeric compounds (b) include at least one polyalkylene oxide having a hydroxyl number of from 20 to 50 mg KOH/g derived from a trifunctional starter molecule and a proportion of ethylene oxide, based on the content of alkylene oxide, of from 0 to 10%.

摘要: Described herein is a process for preparing a foam (FA) with a Poisson's ratio in the range of from −0.5 to 0.3, the method including the steps of providing a foam (F1) with a flow resistance in the range of from 3000 to 8000 Pas/m, determined according to DIN EN 29053, and subjecting the foam (F1) to thermoforming including triaxial compression, wherein the foam (F1) is not reticulated prior to step (ii). Also described herein is the foam obtained or obtainable according to the process and the use of the foam as, for example, an energy absorbing device, preferably in protective gear, furniture, cushions, in cleaning devices with improved rinse-out behavior, in shoe soles, or as sealing, insulating or anchorage providing material for example used in earphones, ear plugs or dowels, or as acoustic material.
