Abstract: A closure device includes a first ring structure having a first distal portion and a first medial portion and a second ring structure having a second distal portion and a second medial portion. The first and second distal portions are movable between an open position, where the first and second distal portions form an angle relative to one another for receiving target tissue therebetween, and a closed position, where the first and second distal portions are drawn toward one another for gripping the target tissue. The device also includes an anvil about which the first and second medial portions are formed. Either one of proximal motion of the anvil relative to the first and second rings or proximal motion of the medial portions relative to the anvil causes the first and second distal portions to move into either one of the open position or the closed position.

Abstract: A device includes a handle having a trigger in combination with a distal portion, the distal portion including a rigid elongated hollow member which receives tissue therein and a plunger fitted with and configured to slide longitudinally within the hollow member to induce suction at a distal end of the hollow member as the plunger is moved proximally within the hollow member. The trigger is hingedly coupled to the plunger so that pulling the trigger slides the plunger proximally with respect to the hollow member to generate suction to draw the tissue into the distal end of the hollow member. The device further includes a tissue treatment mechanism for encircling the tissue received at the distal end of the hollow member.

Abstract: A medical device may include a handle and an end cap. The handle may include a first movable body and a stationary body. The end cap may include an outer portion, an inner portion disposed within the outer portion, and at least one biasing member. The outer portion may define a receptacle configured to contain a material. The inner portion may be proximal to the receptacle, within the outer portion, and coupled to the first movable body by at least one control element. The biasing member(s) may be disposed between a proximal face of the inner portion and a distal face of a proximal wall of the outer portion. Accordingly, movement of the first movable body relative to the stationary body moves the inner portion relative to the outer portion. Abstract: A device includes a flexible sheath, a member, an expansion device, and a therapeutic patch. The sheath has a length selected to extend from a distal end which, when the device is in operative configuration, is adjacent to the target site, to a proximal end. The member extends through the sheath from a proximal end to a distal end. The expansion device is coupled to and extends distally from a distal end of the member. The patch is wrapped around the expansion device and forced radially outward into contact with and adhere to a first target portion of tissue when the expansion device is moved to deployed configuration. The expansion device is movable, after the patch has been adhered to the portion as desired, from deployed configuration to insertion configuration to separate the patch from the expansion device leaving the patch in a desired position adhered to the portion.
