    摘要: A supercharging device, especially for supercharging internal combustion engines, having a first supercharging device and an additional supercharging device, which each have one compressor part and each have one turbine part, and a supercharging pressure prevails in an intake manifold on the intake side of the internal combustion engine, and an exhaust gas counterpressure prevails in an exhaust gas manifold, on the outlet side of the internal combustion engine. A switching element is provided, in the intake tract of the internal combustion engine, between the compressor part of the first supercharging device and the compressor part of the additional supercharging device, using which, switching over is performed from the series connection of the compressor parts to the parallel connection of the compressor parts and vice versa.

A mass stream of exhaust gas flows into this via an inflow region, from which a bypass duct branches off for bypassing the at least one turbine part. The bypass duct opens out into a turbine outlet duct at an outlet location in back of the turbine part. The bypass duct is opened or closed either by a first control element situated in the inflow region at the inlet of the bypass duct or by a second control element at the outlet of the bypass duct leading into the turbine outlet duct.

The regulating element is provided in a housing and is designed as a butterfly valve and is continuously pivotable around a pivot axis. The butterfly valve is provided with an edge area on its circumference, which cooperates with stop surfaces of the housing in a sealing area to form a flat seal. The butterfly valve is pivotably supported on at least one journal, the sealing area continuing at least via a partial circumference of a journal section encompassed by a housing sealing surface to form a tight seal.
