    摘要: There is provided a secondary air introduction device configured to introduce air into an exhaust port provided in a cylinder head of an engine by using a negative pressure in the exhaust port. A back-flow restriction member is provided between a reed valve and the exhaust port in an air introduction passage, and includes a plate part intersecting with an extension direction of the air introduction passage. The plate part has an air passing region in which the air flowing through the air introduction passage from an air intake unit toward the exhaust port is enabled to pass therethrough and a back-flow cutoff region in which exhaust air, which flows in a direction of directly colliding with at least a valve body of the reed valve, of exhaust air flowing back through the air introduction passage from the exhaust port is cut off.

    摘要: A mixing system for an exhaust sampling system is disclosed. In one example, the mixing system includes a mixing passage, an exhaust pipe, and a mixer. The mixing passage has a dilution gas inlet configured to receive a dilution gas. The exhaust pipe provides exhaust gas to the mixing passage. The mixer is disposed within the mixing passage and is configured to mix the dilution gas and the exhaust gas. The mixer has an inlet and an outlet, where the mixer inlet is configured to receive the exhaust gas, and the mixer outlet is disposed downstream of the mixer inlet. The mixer includes a plurality of radially extending lobes that are circumferentially disposed about a longitudinal axis of the mixer.

    摘要: This embodiment of this exhaust apparatus relates to an air intake device and a rotating blade assembly (50 and 51) which significantly reduce greenhouse gases, hydrocarbon and oxides of nitrogen emissions and other gases and pollutants not yet required to be tested, exhaust noise and temperature of the exhaust gases. By its chilling effect it also improves the efficiency of an internal combustion engine. An electric motor drive shaft (69) is coupled to the drive shaft (67) at the rear of the unit. The drive shaft (66) is attached to the centrifuge and rotating blade assembly (51) creating a vacuum which draws chilled exhaust gases into the unit. The vacuum helps to cool the engine and chill the gases. The gases are mixed and the resultant gaseous mixture exits from the blades into a mixture of exhaust gases (43) and chilled air (35), making a chilled air and exhaust gas mixture (58) exiting through a discharge port in the rear of the unit (65). The test results demonstrated significant reductions in greenhouse gases and exhaust gas emissions and significantly reduced engine exhaust temperature.

The exhaust system includes an exhaust pipe coupled with the exhaust port, a first catalyst, a second catalyst, and a secondary air introduction pipe. The first catalyst is disposed in the exhaust pipe and the second catalyst is disposed in the exhaust pipe a set distance downstream of the first catalyst. The secondary air introduction pipe is configured to introduce air into the exhaust pipe. The secondary air induction pipe is connected to the exhaust pipe between the first and the second catalysts at a location where a temperature difference of the first and the second catalysts in a cold start transient phase is within a predetermined range.

    摘要: The present invention discloses a fine particle-removing device connected to an exhaust path for a combustion exhaust gas, for removing fine particles contained in the exhaust gas. The apparatus has filter units, a fuel injection nozzle and an ignition device. The filter units are made of porous ceramic partitions that form a plurality of narrow paths extending in the flowing direction of the exhaust gas. The porous ceramic partitions capture the fine particles contained in the exhaust gas when the exhaust gas is introduced into one side and exhausted from the other side of each path. The fuel injection nozzle injects a fuel into exhaust gas intake portions of the filter units to burn the fine particles captured on the porous ceramic partitions.

    摘要: A device for the treatment of exhaust gases leaving an internal combustion engine in which a main flow passage for the gases is surrounded by another passage having therein axially arranged treatment chambers containing catalyst material. The main flow passage is provided with a flow control valve which, at low engine speeds, diverts substantially all of the exhaust gases to the outer passage surrounding the main flow passage, while at higher speeds the valve deflects and permits an ever increasing amount of the exhaust gases to pass through the main flow passage. The main flow passage and the outlet end of the outer passage containing the catalyst chambers are coaxially arranged and taper inwardly so that there is a mingling of the gases from the passages at the discharge end of the device. The device is adapted for direct connection to the exhaust manifold of an engine and can be incorporated directly therein.
