    摘要: In one aspect, the present disclosure is directed to a tappet assembly for a machine. The assembly may include a tappet body, a pin fixedly mounted in the tappet body, and a substantially cylindrical roller mounted about the pin. The roller may have a substantially cylindrical outer surface with a circumferential dimension and a width dimension, the width dimension being defined by two lateral edges. The roller may be configured to provide rolling contact between the outer surface of the roller and a cam lobe. The outer surface of the roller may be crowned such that at maximum operational loading conditions of the machine a footprint of contact pressure from the cam lobe is spread substantially the full width of outer cylindrical surface of the roller.

    摘要: A fuel system includes a plurality of fuel injectors fluidly connected to a common rail. Each of the fuel injectors has at least one body component and includes an intensifier control valve for controlling movement of an intensifier piston, a needle control valve for controlling movement of a needle valve member, and exactly one electrical actuator coupled with the intensifier control valve and the needle control valve via a coupling linkage. The intensifier control valve and the needle control valve each include a valve member that is movable with respect to a valve seat. The electrical actuator includes an intermediate position during which the valve member of one of the intensifier control valve and the needle control valve is in contact with the respective valve seat, and the valve member of the other of the intensifier control valve and the needle control valve is out of contact with the respective valve seat.

    摘要: An assembly is disclosed having a high pressure fuel source, a low pressure fuel source, and a housing. The assembly also has a piston disposed within the housing and dividing the housing into a first chamber, a second chamber, a third chamber, and a fourth chamber. The first and second chambers are fluidly connected to the high pressure fuel source. The third chamber is selectively fluidly connected to the high pressure fuel source and the low pressure fuel source, and the fourth chamber is fluidly connected to the low pressure fuel source. The piston is movable from a first position when the third chamber is selectively connected to the high pressure fuel source. The piston is movable to a second position when the third chamber is selectively connected to the low pressure fuel source.

    摘要: The pump described herein provides a potentially lower cost alternative to conventional high-pressure pumps by providing a head, a plunger, and a control valve assembly. The head defines a valve bore having a first diameter, a plunger bore having a second diameter, and an intermediate chamber having a third diameter. The plunger is configured to reciprocate within the plunger bore. The plunger, the plunger bore, and the intermediate chamber at least partially define a pumping chamber. The control valve assembly is coupled to the head and includes an actuator moveable in response to an input signal and a valve element coupled to the actuator. The valve element is received within the valve bore and moveable between an open and a closed position. The valve element includes a body having a fourth diameter and a valve head having a fifth diameter. The first diameter is no larger than the second diameter.

    摘要: To reduce mixing of fluids within a high pressure pump, a pump is provided that comprises a housing, a piston, an annulus, and a first seal. The housing includes an inlet for a first fluid, an inlet for a second fluid, and a piston bore fluidly coupled to the inlet for the first fluid. The piston is moveable within the piston bore and has a first end exposed to the first fluid and a second end exposed to the second fluid. The annulus is defined within the piston bore and is configured to be fluidly coupled to a drain circuit having a pressure less than the pressure of the first fluid. The first seal is coupled to the housing and is located outside of the piston bore. The first seal engages the piston to create a seal that substantially prevents the second fluid from entering the piston bore.
