Abstract: An end cap, a battery cell, a battery and a power consuming device are described. The end cap includes a cap body and a pressure relief groove. The pressure relief groove is provided in the cap body, and the pressure relief groove defines a pressure relief zone. A length direction of the pressure relief zone is consistent with a width direction of the cap body. The end cap has a stress concentration region at a short edge of the pressure relief groove when the inner side of the end cap is subjected to the pressure inside the battery cell, and the end cap has a stress concentration region at a long edge of the pressure relief groove when the outer side of the end cap is subjected to an impact force.

The end cover assembly includes: an end cover; a pressure relief mechanism arranged on the end cover and including a weak portion, the pressure relief mechanism being configured to rupture along the weak portion to release the pressure inside the battery cell when the pressure reaches a threshold; and an insulating member located on one side of the end cover facing an electrode assembly of the battery cell and including a base portion connected to the end cover and a guide portion arranged on the base portion communicating the space between the base portion and the pressure relief mechanism with the space on one side of the base portion facing away from the weak portion. In a thickness direction of the end cover, a projection of the guide portion does not overlap with a projection of the weak portion.

Abstract: Described is a battery cell, which includes a casing having a first opening; an electrode assembly received in the casing, the electrode assembly having a first tab, a second tab and a third tab, the first tab having an opposite polarity to the second tab, and the third tab having the same polarity as the first tab or the second tab; an end cap for closing the first opening; an insulating member disposed between the end cap and the electrode assembly, wherein the third tab is configured to be connected with the insulating member. It is possible to improve the heat dissipation efficiency of the battery cell by additionally providing a heat dissipation path of the electrode assembly—the third tab—the insulating member—the end cap, thereby improving the overcurrent capacity and the safety performance of the battery cell.
