摘要: A method of performing a surgical procedure includes storing a software application on a memory associated with a computer, which when executed by a processor causes the software application to develop a model of a patient's anatomical structure, process images of the patient's anatomy, display the images of the patient's anatomy on a user interface associated with the computer, superimpose critical structures within the patient over the displayed images of the patient's anatomy, determine a location within the patient's body cavity where the images of the patient's anatomy were taken, and display the model of the patient's anatomical structure on the user interface, the displayed model indicating the determined location where the images of the patient's anatomy were taken.

摘要: Provided in accordance with the present disclosure are systems for identifying a position of target tissue relative to surgical tools using a structured light detector. An exemplary system includes antennas configured to interact with a marker placed proximate target tissue inside a patient's body, a structured light pattern source, a structured light detector, a display device, and a computing device configured to receive data from the antennas indicating interacting with the marker, determine a distance between the antennas and the marker, cause the structured light pattern source to project and detect a pattern onto the antennas. The instructions may further cause the computing device to determine, a pose of the antennas, determine, based on the determined distance between the antennas and the marker, and the determined pose of the antennas, a position of the marker relative to the antennas, and display the position of the marker relative to the antennas.

摘要: An end effector assembly for use with an electrosurgical instrument is provided. The electrosurgical instrument includes a handle having a shaft that extends therefrom, an end effector disposed at a distal end of the shaft, at least one electrode operably coupled to the end effector and adapted to couple to a source of electrosurgical energy, a titanium nitride coating covering at least a portion of the electrode, a chromium nitride coating covering at least a portion of the electrode and/or titanium nitride coating, and a hexamethyldisiloxane plasma coating covering at least a portion of the chromium nitride coating.

摘要: An end effector assembly of a surgical device for shallow depth ablation includes first and second jaw members movable between open and closed positions and including hemicylindrical surfaces that cooperate to define a cylindrical cavity in the closed position for capturing tissue therebetween. At least one electrode array includes a plurality of first and second electrode portions disposed on or within at least one of the hemicylindrical surfaces and extending annularly at least partially thereabout. The plurality of first and second electrode portions are configured to be energized with electrosurgical energy at different potentials to thereby conduct electrosurgical energy between adjacent first and second electrode portions and through captured tissue to affect shallow depth ablation of captured tissue in the closed position of the first and second jaw members.

摘要: A surgical forceps including an end effector assembly has first and second jaw members. At least one of the first or second jaw members has a jaw frame defining a channel therein, an insulative member disposed within the channel of the jaw frame, and an electrically-conductive plate having a tissue contacting surface and at least one folded side portion. The insulative member includes a top portion having a tissue facing surface. The tissue contacting surface of the electrically-conductive plate is disposed on the tissue facing surface of the insulative member. The at least one folded side portion of the electrically-conductive plate is folded over the top portion of the insulative member such that the electrically-conductive plate conforms to a shape of the top portion of the insulative member.
