Abstract: A pushrod assembly 5 may include a seal carrier 50 for a spaced seal assembly 60 and/or a seal carrier 70 for a stacked seal assembly 74, the spaced seal assembly including first and second annular seals 61, 62 separated by a spacer 63 to isolate between the seals a vented region 28 of the pushrod housing 6, the stacked seal assembly including at least two annular seals 80 stacked on the seal carrier. Each seal assembly can be removed and replaced via an access end 52, 72 of the seal carrier after detaching the access end from an adjacent component of the assembly. The seal carriers may be incorporated into a cryogenic pump 2 wherein at least one annular seal is arranged on each seal carrier to seal the pushrod assembly 5 within its housing 6.

Abstract: A fuel system is disclosed for use with an engine, including a fuel injector assembly fluidly coupled with a low-pressure fuel conduit, an accumulator, and a cap within an opening in the accumulator. The fuel injector assembly may be structured to draw in low-pressure fuel, pressurize the fuel, and store the pressurized fuel in the accumulator for injection to a combustion chamber. The cap has a pressure sensor and a pressure relief valve therein, and drains fuel leaked past fluid seals between the cap and each of the pressure sensor, the pressure relief valve, and the accumulator by way of a common drain line.

Abstract: A fuel injector includes an injector body, and a stack within the injector body, and having a nozzle supply passage therein. The stack includes a solenoid assembly having a solenoid housing piece with a fuel bore formed therein that includes a segment of the nozzle supply passage. The solenoid housing piece includes a solenoid housing material in a base state, and a solenoid housing material in a residual compressive stressed state, with the fuel bore being formed by the solenoid housing material in the residual compressive stressed state. Residual stresses may be imparted by ballizing, nitriding, carburizing, autofrettage, or still another technique.

Abstract: A regeneration system includes a housing defining an exhaust flow path. An inlet of the housing is configured to receive an exhaust flow from the internal combustion engine and an outlet of the housing is configured to direct the exhaust flow toward an exhaust aftertreatment component. A combustion head is coupled with the housing and configured to direct air and fuel to a combustion chamber in fluid communication with the exhaust flow path. A fuel supply passage is defined by the combustion head and is in fluid communication with the combustion chamber. The regeneration system also includes a valve and filter assembly disposed within the fuel supply passage.
