The folder-to-be-transferred may contain a plurality of files. The method also includes receiving from the IM sender folder information of the folder-to-be-transferred, determining a receiving folder corresponding to the folder-to-be-transferred on a predetermined storage location, and determining files-to-be-transferred from the plurality of files corresponding to the folder-to-be-transferred based on the folder information. Further, the method includes sequentially sending one transfer request for each of the files-to-be-transferred to the IM sender through a same network connection, receiving the files-to-be-transferred sent sequentially by the IM sender through the same network connection, and storing the received files-to-be-transferred in the receiving folder.

A nonlinear Yb:YAB laser material is disclosed. The material is capable of generating fundamental o-polarized first wavelength laser light and frequency doubled e-polarized second wavelength laser light, the material being oriented for type 1 phase matching of the first wavelength laser light. Also disclosed is a laser system. The system comprises a pumping light source emitting a pumping beam of light, a laser cavity having an input coupler operatively disposed with respect to the light source so as to couple the pumping beam of light into the cavity, and a nonlinear Yb:YAB laser material capable of lasing in response to a pumping beam of light thereby generating fundamental o-polarized first wavelength laser light and frequency doubled e-polarized second wavelength laser light, the material being oriented for type 1 phase matching of the first wavelength laser light, the first wavelength laser light being in the range of 1020-1100 nm and the second wavelength laser light being in the range of 510-550 nm. The input coupler comprises a reflector to at least partially reflect the first wavelength laser light and the second wavelength laser light into the cavity, and the laser cavity further includes an output coupler for coupling and outputting at least the second wavelength laser light from the cavity as an output laser beam. Also disclosed are methods of providing an output laser beam and methods of using the beam.

A microsecond-scale stimulated Raman spectroscopic imaging system having a light source, such as a laser output that provides two femtosecond laser beams and a modulator to modulate the laser intensity at frequency between about 1 and about 100 megahertz. The system can further include a medium that chirps the two femtosecond beams to generate a spectral focus in a specimen, and a galvo mirror or resonant mirror pair to scan the two femtosecond beams in two dimension on the specimen. An objective lens can focus the two laser beams into a specimen or sample and a resonant delay scanner configured to produce an optical delay to the pair of chirped beams in said specimen and a tuned amplifier or lock-in amplifier can be used to extract the stimulated Raman-signal shift at the aforementioned modulation frequency.
