摘要： There is provided an electrophoresis device (100) including an insulator (10) that includes: a first-separating-medium storing section (4′) for storing therein a first separating medium (4); a first opening (7) and a second opening (8) that are in communication with the first-separating-medium storing section (4′) and for defining a direction of separation on the first separating medium (4); and a third opening (9) that is covered with a penetrable insulating thin film (3), wherein the first separating medium storing section (4′) is in communication with outside via the first opening (7) and the second opening (8). There is also provided an electrophoresis apparatus including the electrophoresis device (100). This realizes an electrophoresis apparatus, and a device therefor, that enables an operator to sample separated proteins without ever making contact with the electrophoresed gel, and that can easily be used with various types of analyses, thereby improving convenience of electrophoresis.

摘要： There is provided an electrophoresis device (100) including an insulator (10) that includes: a first-separating-medium storing section (4′) for storing therein a first separating medium (4); a first opening (7) and a second opening (8) that are in communication with the first-separating-medium storing section (4′) and for defining a direction of separation on the first separating medium (4); and a light-transmissive portion for observing inside of the first-separating-medium storing section (4′) from outside, wherein the light-transmissive portion is covered with an anti-reflective layer (3). There is also provided an electrophoresis apparatus including the electrophoresis device (100). In one embodiment of the electrophoresis device (100), the anti-reflective layer 3 is not provided, and a light absorbing layer is provided opposite the light-transmissive portion with the first-separating-medium storing section in between. In another embodiment, the anti-reflective layer (3) and the light absorbing layer (9) are provided. This realizes an electrophoresis apparatus, and a device therefor, that enables an operator to observe separated proteins at a predetermined timing during electrophoresis, without ever making contact with the electrophoresed gel, and thereby perform a sensitive quantitative analysis.

摘要： The present invention is to provide a sample separation instrument used in a sample separation apparatus which includes: holding means for holding a first medium supporter which supports a first medium; and driving means for moving fixing means or the holding means in a direction parallel or perpendicular to a plane whose sides extend in the first direction and in the second directions. The sample separation instrument includes an insulator for storing a second medium which allows a sample separated in the first medium in the first direction to be further separated in the second direction different from the first direction, wherein: the insulator includes a first opening and a second opening each of which defines the second direction in which the second medium is electrified, and the second opening has a shape which allows the first medium containing the separated sample to be attached to the second medium along the first direction. The present invention realizes automation of the two-dimensional electrophoresis to enhance the convenience of the two-dimensional electrophoresis, to less depend on the operator's skill, and to enhance the reproducibility of the electrophoresis result.

摘要： A sample separation/adsorption appliance (100) includes: a first buffer solution tank (1) in which a first electrode (12) is to be disposed; a second buffer solution tank (2) in which a second electrode (22) is to be disposed; and a sample separating section (3) in which a separation medium (33) is to be contained. The sample separating section (3) has a first opening (31) opening into the first buffer solution tank (1) and a second opening (32) opening into the second buffer solution tank (2). The appliance (100) further includes second electrode fixing means (4) for disposing the second electrode (22) oppositely to the second opening (32). Preferably, the appliance (100) further includes adsorption member holding means (5) for holding an adsorption member (6) between the second opening (32) and the second electrode (22) to adsorb sample components which was discharged from the second opening (32) onto the adsorption member (6). This improves convenience of electrophoresis and western blotting, and specifically, automates steps from electrophoresis to electroblotting.

By this, an electrophoresis technique with better accuracy than conventional arts can be provided.
