Abstract:
A submount is used for disposing an illuminant element or a light-receiving element having an optical axis. The submount is disposed at a plane and has a main body. The main body includes a first surface and a second surface. The first surface is approximately parallel to the plane and far away from the plane. The second surface is approximately parallel to the plane and adjacent to the plane. A disposing part of the first surface is tilted with respect to the second surface at a predetermined angle. The illuminant element or the light-receiving element is disposed on the disposing part. The optical axis of the illuminant element or the light-receiving element is tiled with respect to a normal of the second surface at the predetermined angle.

A Chinese herbal aqueous extract having anti-anxiety activities and a method of in vitro evaluating the same are disclosed. Neural cells and/or glial cells are cultured in a medium containing the Chinese herbal aqueous extract, and then subjected to an electric pulse treatment to form epileptic cells. The epileptic cells are applied on evaluation of at least one criterion of anti-anxiety activities of the Chinese herbal aqueous extract.

The present invention is described for compensating a signal which is transmitted by a transmitting module of the optical disk drive controller through a signal channel and received and reshaped by a receiving module of the optical pickup head to calibrate the duty cycle distortion occurred. The claimed method has the steps of providing a periodic test signal, and then delaying the periodic test signal to form an adjusted test signal and adjusting a delay of an edge between the periodic test signal and the adjusted test signal instructed by a calibration signal. Afterward, the method further has the steps of transmitting the adjusted test signal to the receiving module through the signal channel, and receiving and reshaping the adjusted test signal to form a received signal, and then generating a monitor signal, finally, the method has a step of generating the calibration signal in accordance with the monitor signal.
Abstract:
A process of an extrusion product made of matrix composite aluminum alloys has multiple steps. First, provide at least two different aluminum alloys. Select one of the aluminum alloys to be a core. Select the rest of the aluminum alloys to be at least one hollow covering and mounted around the core to form a billet. Heat the billet to become deformable. Then extrudes the billet to become the extrusion product with matrix composite aluminum alloys. Hence, the core and the covering can be securely bonded to each other.

Abstract:
A differential charge pump includes a first current, a second current, a first switching device, a second switching device, a first phase inverting switching device, a second phase inverting switching device, and a common mode feedback device. The common mode feedback device is used to adjust the current level exported by the first current source, according to the common mode voltage of the differential charge pump, so that the respective currents exported by the first current source and the second current source are to be the same. The present invention has used the property that the common mode voltage of the differential charge pump should be a constant value, so as to correct the level of the current source. As a result, the current exported by the differential charge pump can be precisely corrected. Also, the present invention only needs one charge pump, so that the structure is simple and the fabrication is easy. In addition, no matter whether there is a rising or falling signal, the correction can be performed. Therefore, it has no issue of shift for the common mode voltage.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for detecting a guard interval size in a received OFDM signal are provided. A correlation calculator calculates a preliminary correlation signal based on a digitized signal, and generates a correlation signal corresponding to each possible guard interval size by summing the preliminary correlation signal in accordance with the possible guard interval size. Characteristics such as maximum value NM and number of points above a threshold Np in a sample period for each correlation signal are determined and compared, and the actual guard interval size is selected according to the determined characteristics.
Abstract:
A method and device are provided for jitter enhancement in an optical disc system. The optical disc system generates a signal that includes an effective component having a first slew rate, and a pre-pit component having a second slew rate larger than the first slew rate. The signal is fed to a slew rate control module having a predetermined slew rate that is larger than the first slew rate and smaller than the second slew rate. The slew rate control module outputs a component of the signal having a slew rate not larger than the predetermined slew rate, and suppresses a component of the information signal having a slew rate larger than the predetermined slew rate.
