Abstract: The invention relates to a novel method to use an emulsified material as a surface coating comprising the steps of: (a) applying an emulsified material to a surface of a substrate and (b) drying or allowing to dry the emulsified material as a surface coating on the substrate. The method allows for the precision application of the emulsified material with increased viscosity onto a surface. Additionally, the emulsified material surface coating can easily be removed if desired.

Abstract: A grease filter system for use in connection with retaining viscous products of combustion in commercial food preparation environments includes a receptacle and a filter element removably supported within the receptacle. The receptacle has a lid covering one end thereof and a bottom. The lid includes an opening through which grease, condensed steam, water and other products of combustion enter the system. The receptacle further includes a plurality of apertures disposed spaced from the bottom about the perimeter of the receptacle such that the filter system retains grease and other viscous fluids while allowing condensed steam, water and other products of combustion to pass through the filter element and the receptacle out through the apertures.

Abstract: A paint collar is provided that provides a spray shield for a surface around a work piece while painting, coating, or spraying the work piece. The paint collar has a first member and a second member that form around the work piece, thereby forming a contiguous paint shield surface. The first member and the second member abut against one another along aligned inner edges when the paint collar is in a working state. Along the inner edges of each member is a notch, which forms an aperture to allow the work piece to extend through the paint collar when the paint collar is placed around the base thereof. The first and second members are connected via one or more connectors, which allow hinged movement or complete separation. In one embodiment, the aperture formed by the notches is sized for work piece that comprises an upstanding, four-by-four post.
