摘要: A method of making a microfluidic device (200, 201, 300) can include depositing a layer of photoresist onto a first substrate (210, 270, 310), selectively removing the photoresist to expose portions of the first substrate (210, 270, 310), etching the exposed portions of the first substrate (210, 270, 310) to form an array of nano-wells (240, 340), coating each nano-well (240, 340) with metal oxide, and coating the metal oxide on each nano-well (240, 340) with a first material to increase binding of DNA, proteins, and polynucleotides to the metal oxide. A layer of a second material can be deposited on interstitial areas between the nano-wells (240, 340) to inhibit binding of DNA, proteins, and polynucleotides to the interstitial areas. A second substrate (220, 320) can be bonded to the first substrate (210, 270, 310) to enclose the array of nano-wells (240, 340) in a cavity.

摘要: A laminated glass article including a glass layer and a structured layer disposed on an interior surface of the glass layer. The structured layer includes a plurality of discrete island structures configured to improve the puncture or impact resistance of the glass layer while also preserving the flexibility of the glass layer due to their discrete nature. In some embodiments, the laminated glass article may include an index matching layer disposed between the plurality of island structures, where the difference between the refractive index of the index matching layer and the refractive index of the structured layer is less than or equal to 0.05. In some embodiments, the laminated glass article may define all or a portion of a cover substrate for a consumer product.

The dynamic elastic modulus of the adhesive layer may include a first elastic modulus in the range of 10 kPa to 1000 kPa measured at a stress frequency in the range of 0 Hertz to 5 Hertz and a temperature of 23 degrees C., and a second elastic modulus of 500 MPa or more measured at a stress frequency in the range of 10 Hertz to 1000 Hertz and a temperature of 23 degrees C. The adhesive layer may be optically transparent. The articles may be bendable electronic display devices or bendable electronic display device modules.

摘要: Glass articles having a glass layer with a top a top surface, a bottom surface, and a thickness in the range of 10 microns to 200 microns, and having: a top polymeric coating layer disposed on the top surface of the glass layer with a thickness in the range of 0.1 microns to 10 microns; and/or a bottom polymeric coating layer disposed on the bottom surface of the glass layer with a thickness in the range of 0.1 microns to 10 microns. The glass articles may achieve a bend radius of 10 mm or less. The glass articles may have a shatter resistance defined by the capability of the glass article to avoid ejection of glass shard particles from the glass article upon bending to a failure bend radius.
